Been playing quite a while on and off on different sites, but now want to settle properly on a site and just need a bit of advise on a couple of things im unsure about

Im planning on depositing around 200 on partypoker or titan (anyone have experience playin cash on these? cant decide which to go for!) to start the grind on nl10. I think im going to sign up via holdemmanager to get it free, does the "small stakes version" include limits like NL10 aswell? I presume so but it does only say NL25 and NL50 on the site?

Obviously id be sacrificing a rakeback deal doing this but the HEM should help me out more than this im hoping! (thats why im mainly looking at partypoker, they have a VIP system instead dont they?)

thanks! any other advise would be appreciated :)

Yeah, Party is like pokerstars; no rakeback and instead they use their own points system.

As far as I know HEM has worked for me at any level on Stars. I'll go to 0.01/0.02 tables to test out new HUD layouts and so forth and never had any problem. I play on Party but rarely and haven't had any issues with HEM.

If you're getting HEM free then it probably is limited to the lower levels, but, you can probably upgrade later just as if you bought the smaller stakes version, though that's just an assumption on my part.

The small stakes version only goes up to .50/$1 Limit, .25/.50 No Limit and $22 tournaments. The get it free option for party poker only gives you a $75 credit for any Hold Em Manager product, so you actually wouldn't get the Pro version for free that way. And you must not already be signed up for an account at a site if you wish to take advantage of the get it free offers.

Its all covered on their website.

*The offer for Titan Poker gives you a $100 HEM credit, im guessing the $100 credit sites all have rakeback which you lose by doing this deal, whereas the $75 credit sites do not. Losing rakeback is NOT worth getting HEM for free, unless you do not plan on playing on that site after.

thanks, do you think its more worth it getting something like HEM or a rakeback deal?

I would say they are both just as important. Thats why going with a site like Party Poker for the Get It Free deal is really the only option since they do not have rakeback for you to lose.

*After the $75 credit its only $15 more for the pro version. And they say the credits don't expire, so in reality you could get the small stakes version first, and then upgrade it to the pro version if/when you reach .50/1 NL.

Don't do HEM!!!! Rakeback is WAY more +EV!!!!!!

You're going to get so much in rakeback that you can buy HEM and then have more money coming in for as long as you play after that. It's not even close.

Just so you can see, I barely played yesterday, put in 980 hands, which was 1.5 hours. I paid $14.72 in rake, 27% rb = $3.97

SS HEM is $54.99 so you'll have gotten the rakeback equal to HEM in ~13.5k hands, which is really easy to do in about one week, or a month if you're doing a little less volume. Either way, you're going to have the money to buy HEM in a very short time then continue to get rakeback.
