After my radical experiment (which you can read about on the other thread down below) has ended, I am now trying to survive in 2NL cash games playing ultra TAG. Because it is such a tight strategy have been able to play up to 4 tables at a time even though I am a noob ;)

After a week I busted out of FullTilt, but I am still alive at Stars! And now I have discovered PokerTableRatings, where my Stars rating is now an amazing 22 woohoo!

So, my questions:
Do you guys care about your PTR rating?
What stats on PTR should I examine foremost?
Any other ratings and stats elsewhere I should be aware of?

I found also the http://www.officialpokerrankings.com/ which lists most of the tourneys, though no freerolls there of course so not so usefull for noobs like us.

Anyway talking about caring for PTR ratings: I just yesterday got lucky in the cash games and boosted my points there to 40 so you can take it as a monster challenge :D.

You shouldn't care about you're PTR rating. Having a high/low rating on there does not directly correspond to how good of a player you are. I don't play cash games at all, but if I did I wouldn't be concerned about my PTR rating.

Listen man. Dont put ANY stock into what PTR reports.

There is a thread around here w some jerkoff from PTR saying how the hands they track are an accurate representation... BS.

PTR sucks. Anyone who pays them is stupid.

When I brought up the fact that they miss hands they said something along the lines of "We get like 95%" or some other dumb S***. THEY ARE LYING.

They tracked 16k hands on me in Nov. I played 42k.
This isnt the first time.

The rating number depends a lot on how well or bad you are running at the moment.

One thing I did find kinda useful is the graphs of how tight/aggressive you are versus the rest of the field at your level and your BB/100 stat.
