Hey Guys

I really need some help. Im playing with a wireless connection and my internet is so s**ty its unbearable. I dont know if it is just my connection or if party is also responsible but I tried to play a session today and within 2 hours, I disconnected 4 or 5 times and I had to reboot every time, basically leaving tables and folding hands in the process.

What sucks the most is that I can get really involved in a hand and just have to watch as my hand gets folded as the disconnected banner flashes on the table.

So I have a couple of questions.
1. Is there anyway to get straight back onto a Party Table after you reset your connection so you don't have to sit through another ring for the BB to come and not have to pay extra to play?

2. Is there software or some program you can download to observe your network status?

I've had the same problem with Carbon. Why does this always seem to happen when I have premium hands? hmmm... Well back to subject. Find out if there is some way to turn added animations/graphics off. Helped with my wireless connection. Try to play on a hard-wired connection obv. I had a old computer laying around that I always have turned on now and ready to fire up instantly if i'm playing a game/tournament that could cost me if i'm disconnected. For a network monitoring you might find Net Tools 5 good... I've used it for years as a webmaster and it's FREE... Hope I could help...

thanks. It sucks because Ive found out that some people use disconnecting as a cheat. Its just great because not only do I have bad internet which causes me to fold hands I wanted to play with as well as miss hands by having to wait for the BB again, I look like a cheater.

No prob... Oh... added note: I also avoid running to much bkg stuff while running different poker clients. I think certain software scans/detects programs you have running to make sure you have don't have an unfair advantage by running questionable poker helpers/addons/utilities. Unsure about this but I know when I used to browse the net for good poker articles while playing at the same time (...waiting on slow players...) the game would either lag or disconnect even though my ram/system resources were at good levels.
