I use ProPokerTools' Simulations tab for checking the stats of hands that I've played, it's free, but I was just interested in one particular hand that I played today. The villain shoved on the turn and I called, we both had JTo, I hit my flush and he told me that I was lucky. I told him that I was 60/40 favourite and he didn't believe me. I would have thought that there was a fairly high chance it would be a split pot and I would prefer it if ProPokerTools told me:
  1. Hero % chance to win
  2. Villain % chance to win
  3. Split pot % chance
Am I using ProPokerTools wrongly, or misreading the results?

Is there another free site (maybe CC) that would give me the 3 stats that I would prefer?

But...you've got all the necessary information already available in that table.

Simulation consists of 44 trials (all the remaining possible river cards). You win the pot 9 times (that is when you hit your flush; 20.45%) and tie 35 times (79.55%). Guy with JcTs cannot win; he can only tie (when "you tie") or lose (when you win).

This program is useless, only for beginners .. Trust me to learn all equity hands you need only 10-15 minute not more.... It's hard to remember only definite hand against range hands.... But for this purpose I use PokerStove... I advise you to also install PokerStove, because ProPokerTools is doing a bit inaccurate calculations sometime, the error is usually one percent... And the design of the program do not like , in PokerStove a lot easier...

  1. It's definitely NOT useless. I have found it very useful.
  2. I have PokerStove, but was under the impression that you were not supposed to run it whilst playing on some sites, which is why I have been using ProPokerTools for "on the fly" percentage checks.
  3. I don't see what relevance it only taking 10-15 minutes to learn "all equity hands" is when I'm talking about a specific situation where we both have the same hand but villain effectively can't win because of the board.
  4. I find ProPokerTools easy to use, but each to their own I suppose.
  5. 1% discrepancy might make a big difference at your level of play, but not at mine. Mine is just idle curiosity.

Sorry, I should have said that I have used PokerStove in the past. I don't yet have it on my current PC.
