A database with a HUD is most useful for cash games. In an MTT , you only need the basic stats, VPIP, PFR, AF. and maybe steal attempts and 3 bets.
In cash games you can gain an advantage, especially if you are playing with many of the same "regs" everyday. The most important part of using a database is the ability to go back and replay your
hands, if you do that and have stats on the player things start to "make sense"
If you take
online poker seriously, you should definitely use all the tools available to gain and edge.
