I've recently got my laptop back from a virus removal and all my poker software was deleted. I've now re downloaded 888 and poker tracker 4 but PT4 is not working. Every time I try and set it up there is a problem with PostgreSQL settings and its driving me mad. Has anybody encountered a similar problem and know how to solve this?
Thanks

Virus removal does not work...
As this is the pc which will have all your poker account info on it, your best bet is to format and do a fresh install of the OS. Then install PT and your poker clients.

We do not recommend playing on a computer that was previously infected with a virus, the small risk of a trojan remaining that could allow a hacker to view your screen is too great - its best to start with a fresh OS installation for your own protection if your a poker player. Admittedly the risk is small, but it is better to be safe than sorry.

Apart from the virus issue. Usually if i have a problem with PostgreSQL.

Start-applications-PostgreSQL-stop service.

Then

Start-applications-PostgreSQL-start service.

This assumes that the version of PostgreSQL installed is compatible, but is not reliable advice for a new installation like the one discussed in this thread. We do not yet know how the OP installed Postgres.
