I just cleared all the folders saved on my computer (mac) of hands from pokerstars. Im just wondering if I purchase Pokertracker is there anyway for me to put every hand I have played from stars into Pokertracker so I can veiw stats and graphs or will it start again????
realised this right after I deleted the hands.... :S
And if this is wrong is there any possible way I can retrieve the deleted files?

It used to be that you could get old HH's from Stars via a form (one of the drop down options). And you could get massive amounts of HH's per each request. I do not remember what massive means in this context.

But keep this in mind. You are not the player you were a year ago, are you? Your villains have probably changed their game as well. So having HH's that reflect either your hands or your villains hands from long ago will actually skew the info PT (or HEM) would present you in your HUD. I personally prefer to restrict what my HUD shows me to the last 100 hands. I feel this gives me a better understanding of how my villains are playing today, at this hour, and it also gives me a good idea of what image I am projecting at my tables now.

If you are hoping to get a tracking of your win/loss stats, it might work well at Stars, but might not work well with all sites. If you are a tourney player, it will be very labor intensive. You will need to manually enter tourney results in many cases.

Another thing to keep in mind is that most sites have been trimming the folders on your computer all along. Usually the option was to keep HH's for 30 days (or whatever), then those HH's would have gone to the bit bucket anyway.

Yeah I think I will be waiting for PT4, Just wondering is there any news when that will be released?

PT4 for OS X will be released when we are done developing it, and not a second
before that - at this stage we think our alpha testing will be completed within the next 2 months, possibly sooner. It all depends on the feedback we get from our team of hand picked pros... once they stop finding bugs then we can proceed.

We suggest contacting PokerStars support to determine how you can get your historical hand histories. Once you get these hands you can manually import them into PokerTracker 4 without any problems. Stars support team is quite helpful, they should be familiar with your request.

you would be better suited reading the built in reports, rather than focusing on the graph. Trust us on this.... The graph is designed to augment our reports, the true gold in PokerTracker 4 is in the text, not the graph!

++++++110
The graph has no information that helps your game (and can in fact mislead and/or frustrate you). Dig for gold in the other areas.
