I am hoping to grind my bankroll up to $100 to enable me to purchase a HUD for grinding more effectively and I wondered what the community's consensus was on each of the products. I am yet to trial HEM2 but I was really, really impressed with PT4. I am aware that grinding my roll up to $100 to purchase a HUD sounds counter-intuitive but I see poker as a RPG whereby you grind your EXP (bankroll) up to a certain level then you use your EXP points to invest in a new skill (strength stat) that will enable you to beat your enemies effectively (DMG per sec) haha.

But back to the main question: PT4 or HEM2?

I used trials of both PT4 and HM. For me PT4 is better, but it's really what is called "tastes differ". Both are ok. An alternative is Jivaro, I tried a basic version and gonna test premium with all HUDs unlock.

I prefer the layout of PT4. I haven't tried to customize the HEM layout much, but out of the box PT4 worked better for me. I also like that PT4 has a small stakes version that doesn't cost as much, and you can upgrade later. PT4 is extremely resource intensive to run, but I doubt that HEM would be much better on that front, because you're updating and querying a massive database no matter how you slice it.

I use PT4 off and on. It's full featured and they have a stepped purchase scheme, i.e., it's cheaper if you only play small stakes. Their support is really, really good! That said, I'm not a grinder and find that just paying attention at one or two tables works the best for me. I'm able to pick up on nuances that a HUD will not help with.

By the way, a question to those who use either HM or PT - did you notice real growth of your winrate after you started use of these programms?
And how comfortable for you now playing without HUDs, i.e. live poker or via mobile Apps?
Sorry, if this is an offtop...

after a a few weeks you will notice the difference and sometimes it feels off playing without the a HUD but its manageable
