You have to play around with it. Learn how to move the stat windows around, change font sizes, etc. Last I looked they still didn't have a totally transparent background, but that might have changed.

Do your learning with play money games. Take a day or two to figure out how to make the program work for you. That time invested will pay off pretty fast.

Click on unlock layout and then you can drag and drop the huds to wherever you want or switch profiles that display more/less data

Once you are more comfortable with the software I would definitely recommend going to HUD>Edit hud profiles and creating something yourself or editing one of the templates more to your liking. Having a HUD is great but also kinda pointless if you don't know what the numbers mean. You can also mess with the opacity for sites with little table real estate. I know how annoying it can be when the HUD blocks your view of action

Even worse when causes you to misread the action, per example was playing a single table on pstars zoon 1c/2c last night (it was actually the last hand I was going to play for the night). I put in the standard 6c raise late btn-1 position (6 max), btn folded, sb made it 17 sents, bb did what I thought (DAM TRIAL REGISTER LABEL) was call the 17c and so i decided was going to call as well.

However, upon hitting the call button quickly realized it was 1.17 not .17 and was kind like oh f, of course the sb then pushes the rest of his stack which is only another 80c to me and yes although not a bad play as was only in the game for 1.15 and so would only be down 35c if i folded and walked away figured at this point an extra 80c to call for potential of an almost 6$ pot, so decided to do so.

Lucky for me I really like the flop as weas the 345 i believe, I held 78 so figured at least had outs (still had no idea what they held at this point), turn was a 7 (little hope maybe they both have AK haha, and the river was a 7 for trips for me. Turned out I was up against QQ in sb, AK in bb and guilty as charged my "mistake" as no way would i be called 1.17 with 78 suited paid off, but that dam trail register now label in the pt4 trial could certainly have been at a 2$ cost to me (this was a small 200 hand session in which i was up to 3$ at one point, lost top 2 to a rivered straight going down to 45c and climbing back up to almost 2$ again and left with close on 6$ whoohoo).

The Trial Register label goes away once you purchase PokerTracker 4. We have a 14 day money back period so you can purchase, and then get a refund if you change your mind - this will make the trial message go away.

The others in this thread already gave you go advice - the HUD is designed to be a starting point, you can then move the HUD components on the screen to fit the table to your needs. We do not recommend playing without first customizing the way the HUD looks at your table, for the reasons you already experienced - use play money on pokerstars, this was a very good tip. Unlock the HUD profile, relocate all of the HUD components, and then select "Lock and Save" to keep your profile's new positions.
