I don't understand your question.

If you are running Windows 8 Pro, just install the normal poker software like you would install it on a regular PC.

Windows 8 tablets are supposed to run like a regular PC right?

Supposedly but when I download bodog or Bovada it will actually install but wont run. I contacted customer support and they wont acknowledge that I have an account (even though I play every day) I guess because I am a US player. They also say they dont support mobile devices. Either they dont get it or I dont? Just know it wont run on my Samsung tablet running windows 8

When you say it won't run, do you get an error message or nothing happens when you try to the launch the program? Like Gorak said, you should be able to install any program on Windows 8 Pro, but not RT.

If you have a keyboard, you might try compatibility mode.

Otherwise, it would be MS who would be able to answer your questions rather than the poker sites. Interpreting KB strokes, and alternatives to KB strokes would seem to be an OS issue.

Maybe you are the only one.

All the involved parties will need to help you. The sites, MS and Samsung, will all be wanting to work right. Not for poker per se, but it is MMO gaming, and MS, and Samsung will be helpful in figuring it out.

I'm guessing, but 64 bit Win 8 could be an issue. Try compatibility mode.

I don't remember reading anything about Win8 not working for some programs, but I have both 64 bit and 32 bit Win 7 on my desktop and there are certain drivers that will not work with 64 bit. So, for instance my sound board doesn't work well with 64 bit and works fine for 32 bit Win7.

What does Microsoft say? It is their job to be providing a touch screen capability that equates to mouse clicks. And Samsung should be backing you up.

I havent bothered to call Microsoft so I could pay 99 cents a minute? but doubt if they would help when they find out its online poker. As for Samsung maybe same thing but may give that a try.

What does touch screen have to do with it I have a keyboard that mimicks the strokes/swipes/touches?

Not liking the 99 cents/minute idea myself. But they wouldn't want the online poker issues to effect anything. They want to prove that Win 8 works. They don't want any one, or any group to be dissed by their pride and joy.

Send them an email describing the situation.

Does your system work correctly for any OLP site?

dj I use sportsbook successfully and can use blackchip altho I get tons of security certificate (with blackchip) errors even tho i installed them correctly. Thats why I dont think its a windows 8 problem. I think its a Bovada windows 8 compatibility problem. Anybody playing Bovada on windows 8 Pro?

Here are some things you can try:

1) Update Windows to the latest version (if it is not already)?

2) Update the Adobe Flash player to the latest version

3) Update Java to the latest version

4) Check your firewall and anti-virus settings (in doubt disable them when you try Bodog)

Let us know if anything worked.

Ive been looking for an end all winner for a laptop and I have a few pointers for people looking to cut a corner dollar wise. Be sure to get something with high enough resolution that you can multitable more effectively. Some of the poker clients dont let you change resolution beyond a certain point and it makes my tables overlap crazy town :( Buddy picked up a lenovo thinkpad for a few hundred nearly ideal for pokering...
