I have seen a lot of programs floating around, some of which are obviously not legal like the ones where you can view peoples pocket cards. But for example HEM has a load of other programs on their site like Table Ninja, Table Scanner, Leak Buster, Sit N Go Wizard, and Holdem vision pro. I was wondering if all these tools are legal, and if so how many of you use them. I don't really know much about them but just reading the description they seem like they would give a significant advantage, provided you have a decent foundation. Are they worth the money or do they just prey on people that are willing to try just about anything to give their game a boost.

In addition to HEM, I also use the following:

Table Ninja - worth it if you multitable (6 or more) on pokerstars or on Full Tilt - doesn't work for stud games fwiw.

Table Scanner - worth it if you have a lot of hands on the players you play against, and if table selecting is important. i.e., worthless for 5nl, since table selecting isn't very important at 5nl, no matter how many hands you have on the other players.

Leak Buster - worth it imo, time intensive though.

Haven't used the others.

All these tools are allowed by PS and FT.

Poker Office is the equivalent of HEM and PT3, not Table Ninja.

I bet you begin liking Poker-Edge. This is a new poker tracker software, that brings the ballgame to a totally new dimension. Instead of using a local database, it uses a remote universal database. The advantages are two fold as this huge database includes millions of online players, there is so much more information available there than any local database could ever have. And there is no need to do constant maintenance work with your local database as only the HUD interface is local, whilst the database administration is completely remote.

Cheers for the info, sounds like a worthy investment but for where I am at the moment in my game it doesn't seem like I will get much use of them. Haven't worked my way up to six tables and playing at 5nl. But I know now what to look for down the line.
