Most CC regulars prefer HEM - the latest version is noticeably more sophisticated than PT3, but there is not much in it and either will serve.

Try the free trials of both and decide for yourself.

I prefer PT3 but, as Egon stated, I am in the minority. They're both good programs, although PT3 does have the only fully functioning Rush Poker HUD at the moment.

As said

both will work and are only marginally different.

I took both free trials and decided to take HEM - but it was a close call - could have flipped a coin, too.

It's largely a personal preference. Personally, it was HEM by a mile for me. I dropped PT3 like a hot potato, and the HEM forums seem to be full of other former PT3 users. YMMV of course.

However HEM currently only supports Rush in a "hacked" fashion. It exports villains stats to your player notes. However they are working on a HUD too. This is one of the rare times where PT3 pulled ahead of HEM, but it shouldn't be long now. Of course it's moot to me seeing as how I've sworn off the evil crack poker. Losing 5BI's over two nights was enough to do it for me.

caveat: I haven't really tried PT3 at all in probably a year or so so I have no idea about it's *current* state.

But I will say this... I thought HeM was enough better than PT3 to buy HEM after I had already paid for PT3.

I too brought HEM after PT3 because PT3 had some very real problems when it was released. I just switched back to PT3 when they fixed their issues because I never liked HEM as much.

Just try both and make an informed decision. They're both great products.

How high of stakes does HEM Small stakes go up to?
.25/.$50 No Limit, .50/$1 Limit and up to $22 buy-in tournaments

Pro version is $90. You can start with the small stakes version and upgrade later for $40, so you save $10 if you just start out with Pro. If the higher stakes are a long time coming for you, then maybe it's worth it to upgrade later, but I'd just spring for it now. Especially if you intend to buy the extra modules like Table Scanner and Leakbuster, which also come in small-stakes and unlimited stakes versions, with (I assume) the same sort of discount if you start out with the full versions.

In addition to Table Scanner and Leakbuster, they also have Omaha and Hold'em Vision Pro, an enhanced version of the Vision product included in HEM. And they just merged or bought out Table Ninja as well. I bought the Scanner and Leakbuster modules, and may buy the Vision Pro as well.

While I'm partial to HEM, either will greatly improve your game provided you use them properly. Their cost is but a tiny investment that could easily be recouped very quickly if you properly apply them.

WARNING: pokerstars specifically prohibits use of this product while playing on their site, not sure about the other sites - but if PS prohibits it, I'd bet at least FT also prohibits it. http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/room/prohibited/

If you're using this product, or are thinking about using it, check the terms and conditions of the site(s) you play on.

Before anyone asks, no major site prohibits PT3 or HEM.

I smell a shill account. His only other post is also pushing this software.

Any software that includes datamining and especially notification features is going to be banned from most if not all major rooms. And as far as being "undetectable," I laugh. The very idea of advertising your software as undetectable (which is virtually impossible unless they run as a root-kit, and even then it can be detected, AV software does it every day) in the first place implies dishonest intentions (i.e. cheating).

Look away folks, look way.

I use PT... I tried to use HEM but for some odd reason my computer wouldn't work with the database (even after I emailed this could not be fixed) so I went with PT. From everything I have read, they are both great products, so try them both out and go with the one you like better.

I just trialed both HEM and PT today and I think I am gonna go with HEM. Just seems a lot easier to use to me and the HUD doesnt hog up the screen as much.
