Hi All,

I know that at present there is not a version of Pokertracker for Mac out yet. I was wondering if anyone who uses a Mac has been able to use Pokertracker if they run a parallels program that allows you to run Windows based programs on a Mac. I have heard that Pokertracker will be releasing a version for Mac soon, but I'm getting tired of waiting...lol. So instead I thought this solution might work, but before I invested in both the parallels software and the Pokertracker software I wanted to make sure that it would work. Can anyone help me out?

Yes that will work just fine ... just make sure you have enough space on your Mac for Parallels, Windows XP (or Vista), PokerTracker, PostGRE SQL (and plenty of GB to support the database), and your poker software.

Thanks for the quick response. How much space would you recommend that I have available? Is 50GB enough? 75? Just sort of curious as to what would be best.

I would say if you have a spare 20gb you should be golden for everything.

Alternatively you could use Poker Copilot...

Omg, this. Please don't waste a bunch of space on your computer using parallels and all that. Poker Copilot should be more than sufficient. It isn't QUITE as in depth as HEM/PT3 but its definitely more than enough to suit anyone's needs.

Def look into this before you go purchase all the stuff needed for parallels, etc.

This isn't very new news (it's over a month old now) but Poker Tracker 3 for Mac is now a reality. Awwww yeah!

I am a fellow Mac user and have been using Pokercopilot. It works nicely....and more importantly is being improved all the time.

The developer has added a lot of features since making it, and said he will soon incorporate an All-in EV statistic.

I wouldn't bother with parallels and stuff if you don't have to...just unnecessary money spent unless you have lots of other reasons to do so.
