What do you use and what is better for you? I'd like to buy one of these and I would like to hear the experiences of people who already using this software.. The price is the same so it doesn't matter, although, poker tracker offers two licenses, I not sure if this can be achieved by purchasing holdem manager? Looking forward to hear your opinions..:jd4:

Go with poker tracker. I use the software in the trial mode and love it. Surely go with them when my bankroll will be as big for play with the boys. Don't ting this software is goodin freeroll. You will lost your 100$ investment.

I believe that they both have 30 day trial versions so you can pick which one is easier for you to use.

I just found the Jivaro. It seems that they have a free version.. The graphics look much nicer than the other trackers, however, it works only on pokerstars, right? Did it requires some additional setup or?

hm2 is definitely easy to use from the box without much knowledge , I installed pt4 yesterday couldn't get the hud up and after 1 minute gave up.

hm2 just worked I don't like how pt4 has removed options in the trial #thepointofatrial ?

TheHulk7, well i had pretty the same "torment of choice" a while ago like you have now. I decided to get a good HUD and didn't know which one to choose. So i started compare those both elephants on a market. And i have realized quickly they are both pretty similar. However i should say PokerTracker 4 seems to be working slightly faster (especially on laptops or older PCs), cause it's interface more simplified in comparison to "better looking" HM2. Also PT4 has already it's Notes writer & LeakTracker already included into original software. At HM2 both you have to buy additionally. So those were the points for me to stay on PT4 instead of HM2. But i think it's really a matter of taste. They are both good and have same functions. Some professionals use HM2 another use PT4. Can't say that one software is better or easier to use than another.
Each HUD needs a lil bit time to get used to and learn how to use it proper. It's normal thing to be a bit overwhelmed at the beginning of using. There are some youtube videos that can show you in details how to use it: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=how+to+use+pokertracker+4
Btw, both softwares has it's own video instructions of different options integrated into software. (In PokerTracker 4 you just need to click on a green button with "?" to starts help video.)
Also i recommend you to watch this video, to get basics about what HUD is about and which stats means what: http://www.thepokerbank.com/videos/splitsuit/hud-ninja/
If you have any questions about using PokerTracker 4, don't hesitate to ask it right here. ;)

Yeap alienat3d went through the topic pretty thoroughly!I would like to point out some points:

-You can use Jivaro if you want a simple HUD but you can't review your session after the game. You have to pay it every month. Or you can make a yearly subscription with a discount ofc. I have tried it and it was just fine!

- HM2 and PT4 are two professional tools if you are serious in your game, don't panic with the setup. After the first minutes you get used to it,it's pretty easy and highly customizable! Both have micro -low limits edition which is cheaper and the full version with unlimited buy-ins supported! You can find in their sites the informations you need. Also try them out both if you want to make that investment!

Thanks a lot guys! I completely agree with you. I use Jivaro now and as you said, it's very simple HUD with excellent graphics and very easy to use, and yeah, I can't review session after the game and it works only on PokerStars. So, I understand that it is not a pro tool like as pt4 / hm2 but it offers an excellent introduction into how HUD actually works, I'm sure, for beginners like me this is very important thing, once you realize how HUD works , you can use any of them..

When I started the poker tracker for the first time I had a lot of problems to manage with all these numbers, but now I am sure it would be much easier.. So, if anyone looking for the first HUD, try Jivaro, and then you can easily move onto pt 4 or hm2..

One more thing, if you do not play multi tables, you no need any tracker.. It is enough to look closely at a few hands and you will have the necessary information.. Of course, this is just my experience in a very short time.. :)

Glad we helped you man, I agree with you , if you one tabling it's ok to play without a HUD. If are able to invest some money and time in you online experience then you have to go one step further for a more powerful software! Best of luck :)

Unfortunately I am a Windows user so I may can help you only with the push fold charts. I use those : http://www.pushfoldcharts.com/fullring/ I find them pretty decent.

Im long time PT4 user and recently approved an an official pokertracker 4 premium addon developer so my comment might sound a bit biass but i believe PT4 is better than HM2.
The thing is PT4 learning curve is a lot more steaped in comparison to HM2 where the user interface is a lot more user friendly as everything is also preconfigured.
PT4 offers a lot more customazations allowing you to create custom stats, HUD profiles and reports as you see fit. This might be a bit overwhelming for someone new to these programs but once you pass through that initial learning phase in PT4 you will realize you can get a lot more value out of it than with HM2.
HM2 is heavily mostly use by cash gamers giving they can add NoteCaddy to it as this is an exclusively HM2 addon software, but giving the state of the online poker industries more and more sites are lauching new updated to their TOS banning these type of softwares.
PT4 is more heavily use by mid and high SNG and MTTs players, specially those playing STT like 6max hypers, HUSNGs and now Spin&Go because as stated before PT4 allow them to customize their HUD and play with an unique HUD that best suits their needs and expectations.
I feel so strongly PT4 is better than HM2 that HM3 have been on beta testing for over a year now and most of their user interfaces are just like PT4, especially the HUD Editor tab.

I am trying PT4 in the trial version. I am a little bit confuses in the legends, but the manual is good to configure the sites. A help it will be good in how to use best the stats during the game [what mean and what does it mean each one].

I have tried both in trial mode and I can also say that HM team has spent a lot of time in designig the software, and PT looks a bit oldfashioned/less designed/reduced to the necessary...both are bit different in use and you have to get yourself into the software to make it work as you like

well as someone who owns both PT4 and HEM and also in my role as a MOD at floptunriver I can guarantee that you are biased.
PT4 offers a lot more customazations allowing you to create custom stats, HUD profiles and reports as you see fit. This might be a bit overwhelming for someone new to these programs but once you pass through that initial learning phase in PT4 you will realize you can get a lot more value out of it than with HM2.
you can create your own reports and hud profiles in HEM (not sure about custom stats but 95% of people will never need to anyway) and if you did need to create custom stats in HEM it can definitely be done by creating a notecaddy custom stat and then adding that to your hud. So you can't get anymore value out of it because you can do the same in both.
HM2 is heavily mostly use by cash gamers giving they can add NoteCaddy to it as this is an exclusively HM2 addon software, but giving the state of the online poker industries more and more sites are lauching new updated to their TOS banning these type of softwares.
which also applies to PT4 who have to modify their software to comply in the same way on those sites.
PT4 is more heavily use by mid and high SNG and MTTs players, specially those playing STT like 6max hypers, HUSNGs and now Spin&Go because as stated before PT4 allow them to customize their HUD and play with an unique HUD that best suits their needs and expectations.
which you can do just as easily with HEM
I feel so strongly PT4 is better than HM2 that HM3 have been on beta testing for over a year now and most of their user interfaces are just like PT4, especially the HUD Editor tab.
This is the biggest load of bollocks of all that you have written. The owners of PT and HEM merged their companies a couple of years ago and they are merging the underlying code so that it is easier /cheaper to support. If there ever is a pt5 it is highly likely to have the same underlying code but with potentially a different graphical interface to appease their current customers. Hem3 current HUD designer is a straightplug in of PT4s and is a complete dogs dinner compared to HEM2's hud designer. The danger is that hem3/pt5 will be bodge jobs merging current code from each trackerand will annoy their current userbase and with the number of new cheaper trackers on the market , faced with paying again for botched together software or some of the newer HUDS , people may just switch to the newer HUDs to try them out and never return.
