How does the payment work? do you just buy it and you can use it forever or do you have to pay monthly.
Can you buy the program with prepaid vanilla mastercards, or prepaid cards in gennerally?
PokerTracker 4 is a 1 time purchase. The only additional fee is the optional TableTracker monthly service, but not everyone choses to use TableTracker, it depends on your personal needs.
We use a standard banking provider, most vanilla prepaid cards work provided that our bank accepts them. We have no way of knowing in advance if this will be an issue for you, just make sure your card can make international transactions to be safe.
Thanks for the help. was wondering do you have to buy the upgrades? Not pt3-4 but table tracker and leakbuster?
thanks
When you buy PokerTracker 4, there is no need to purchase third party add-ons to gain functionality. This is a strategy that competitive tracking applications use to increase the price you pay, we feel this is bad for our customers therefore PokerTracker 4 includes all of the most important tools you need within at one reasonable price.
Included:
NoteTracker - automated note taking solution.
ICM - Calculators and simulations included, with accurate all-in
equity calculation (a problem with our competitors) and adjusted winnings for tournaments. ICM accurate for up to 9 players at the table, and our tournament detection engine helps to populate payout structures for ICM calculations.
LeakTracker - a basic stat analysis tool that helps you compare your play to a wide range of winning players, featuring video tutorials by Aaron Jones of Leggo Poker.
Of course there are many more features than just this, this list only shows the applications that are commonly asked about when comparing us to HM2 which requires you to purchase these add-ons, in some cases at prices higher than the cost of the tracker.
PokerTracker 4 does not include similar functionality as TableNinja, since TableNinja is compatible with PokerTracker 4 this should not be a concern. LeakTracker is similar in functional concept to LeakBuster, but they are two very different products. Some of our users find that they want to purchase LeakBuster as an add-on to help you with self-coaching, but that is a personal decision, it is not the right choice for everyone. We do not position LeakTracker as a competitor to LeakBuster, we see these two items as complimentary.
I've never tried Table tracker, so am not too sure about that one.
Pokertracker 4 includes Leaktracker and Notetracker, but they don't have anywhere near the features that Leakbuster and Notecaddy have.
Leakbuster is something you have to purchase, but they do have versions for PT3/PT4 and HM1/HM2. I use it quite a bit, and definitely recommend it if you play cash games. They do have a free trial, so maybe give that a shot.
We would agree with you on the LeakBuster/LeakTracker comparison, see above for an example, we view them as complimentary - they are not the same. With that said, we greatly disagree with your comparison of NoteTracker and NoteCaddy... NoteTracker's underlying filtering engine is more powerful thanks to the integration of the entire range of player and opponent filters. We intentionally do not include some of their features that look good on paper and are great for marketing such as spark graphs because our research shows that this clutters the interface while playing. We realized early in development that too much information displayed all at once in-game can backfire, it could make decisions harder to make in-game. Our philosophy when it comes to notes less is more, a wall of text and graphs is not helpful, instead we created a straightforward and easy to read interface that gives you all the information you need in a simple to read format. We accept that some people may prefer the graphs that our competitor provides, but those people are rarely multitablers... it is of course a matter of preference in the end, you should only use whatever is best for your personal workflow - luckily you can use the free trials of each of these products discussed to test for yourself.
PS: We can also commend NoteCaddy's innovation by some third party companies that sell extra note packages, but it should be noted (no pun intended) that so far all of those third party notes that we have seen can also be made in PokerTracker 4's NoteTracker - at no extra charge. We include a similar package of tournament notes created by Shaun Deeb and Omaha notes created by Jeff Hwang - again at no additional charge.. its all built into PT4.
