I am just starting with poker, and i love statistics, so i am excited to use poker tools like Poker tracker or HM2.
I was considering start with free softwares like Hand2Note or FPDB, but some people told me it's best to use it after i build a solid game, so i can learn more about the game (something like learn to drive a normal car, then drive an automatic one), and plus, at micro stakes (like $0.25 whick i am playing) these softwares can induce us to wrong plays, since majority players at these stakes doesn't really plays a "linear" game. What you guys think?

If you play many tables, you can not follow all opponents. Statistics helps.

I think a HUD will not only help you with your opponents but also show you leaks in your game once you learn how to use it.

I don't understand this argument. I'm not sure what a "linear" game is? Does it mean a predictable game?

Players in the micros will definitely make you say "what was he thinking?" sometimes.
They overvalue pairs and high cards, and make bluffs that have very little chance to succeed.
But statistics can help us identify players who have these flaws.

People do use statistics incorrectly sometimes.

"This player raises 50% of his hands pre-flop, so from middle position I am going to call his massive pre-flop raise with my K8".

"This player folds a lot post-flop, so I am going to bet every street with my middle pair".

"In my sample size of five hands, player has raised three times, so he must be a maniac."

Get a hand tracking program and learn to use it intelligently.

Yes, I think they play a lot more by feeling rather than logic, sometimes they can fold a hand on X condition, and sometimes they will shove (like I did not long ago rofl)
