I am curious to know how many of the members here are using Software / HUD for online poker?

Is it worth it? What are the best brands?

I use two HUDS, Jivaro and Pokertracker. I will tell you, pokertracker is more for my poker teaching hour and Jivaro is more for fun. You can try so many HUDS (trial version). At the end, some people feel more comfort playing with HUDS and others less. Just try it and you will know it.

Answer your second question, most people (in my opinion) are using Pokertracker or Holdemmanager.

I have never used and do not plan to use poker software. I play on the basis of intuition - sometimes it turns out very well, which depends on my mood and good luck.

If you’re going to play online, you’d be stupid not to use a hud..... otherwise you handicap yourself right out the gate.
A lot of newbs come here and say the same shit. Eventually they learn enough to know that they need one to be successful.
Ps, it will also help your live game by learning player types and tendencies

i used fpdb a few times, but as i started playing recently i prefer playing without a hud because i heard it's better learning how to beat the game without it first(i guess it's more useful when multi tabling)

HUD.. witch 1 do u use.

What HUDs do you guys use? I've seen a few and alot of them just look like loads of letters and numbers. The 1 I went for and wod highly recommend is the jivaro hud. I'm still on my month free trial so I haven't got all the features. But with just basic jivaro hud it is great, easy to read and easy to use.
Also is it worth getting poker tracker 4. What features do u get with this?

I started off using Holdem manager 2, in fact I still do have it, HM2 is a 1 time purchase. The problem for U.S. players is if you play on Bet-on-line you need to pay for a converter because HM2 and Pokertracker4 will not read Bet-on-line or ignition hands. So I did pay for the converter from Ace poker solutions

Since I am still a micro-stakes player who is basically break-even cash player and only play a small amounts of tourny's now, I did not want to pay for 2 pieces of software. Fortunately, the guys at Ace poker have come out with a HUD and database called DRIVE- HUD. This is software that is being improved and updated. I have to say they have the best customer support and the price is the best that you will find. in my opinion it is by far the Best value. And it works on Bet-on-line and ignition so it makes sense for US players. It also works with all the biggest sites, you can check out their website.

I have to say again, they respond to any question or issue almost immediately, believe me it is a good feeling to get personal attention.

I use PT4, more for the tracker, not so much for the HUD.
The HUD though, you can adjust to your own preference.
The tracker...well, you can use so many filters to find specific situations about the hands you played....it's overwhelming if you're not used to it.

I actually think for quite a lot of amateur players it's a waste of money, simply because they do not properly use it, due to not taking the time to review hands or just not knowing how to find leaks while using it.

To be honest, I'm one of them as I rarely look back at hands played.
But, otoh, it's a great tool to keep track on your winnings/losses.

The most popular are Pokertracker 4 and HM2, i used Jivaro a while back and it was ok but had no way to review sessions , now im thinking about DriveHud, it looks very interesting and affordable.

Hope someone can help me out here. Can PT4 HUD be used on party poker mtt's legitimately?

It's surprisingly difficult to find any info on this anywhere. Some info seems to imply HUDs are banned in all forms on the site, other things point in the direction of it just being cash tables.

Also I've seen streamers with HUDs on there, and other streamers using a HUD on other sites, but not on Party.

If they aren't allowed then great, no problem for me. But I don't want to believe they aren't and then find others are using them and I haven't been because of false info.

Cheers guys

I have both HEM2 and PT4 the reason for picking up PT4 it has a Mac version. Overall I think HEM2 is easier to use.

Well, I am doing your work for you! I am not sure why exactly  But, here is an article that really seems to talk about HUDs in the most basic, newbie, way. This should give you a baseline.
