I wonder if these are legit, legal, and good to use for a beginner or of any level? I would like to be able to find the proper outs and pot odds myself, but at this point I'm not always sure if my numbers are correct.

So are these programs a good investment? Are there free ones that are just as good? Not the calcs you have to place in every card manually, I'm referring to ones that run along side and find the cards automatically so that I can study the situation and results in the limited time frames.

Don't buy a calculator, having a tracker is useful if you're playing higher than 10NL.

Hold'em Manager & the Poker Tracker software is really the only tracking software I'd recommend using.

I feel that some of those programs are a good investment, but you can get most of the info that you need for free with programs with HEM and PT. These programs will tell ya almost everything you need to know about your game.
