I am at the end of my 1 year with holdem manager 2 and thinking of changing
to poker tracker 4 but had problems with pt 3 and had problems with postgres
but i was stupid back then.I have tried pk3 free trial and wasted it cause i could
not make postgres work:bawling:

Does pt 4 have an omaha tracker built in??
I dont want to buy pk4 and cant use it cause i dont know how to set up postgres
Is pt 4 almost the same as hm2 or more difficult to understand?
Is there any articles i can read for tips on stats for pk4 and what u
can use to get info on your opponents?
Thanks guys

It costs more to get the omaha support included. The program is cheaper if you get the holdem or the omaha version by itself. There's a ton of stuff out there comparing pt4 to hem2 so I'm not really going to get into that. There's at least one topic here on the first page of this very board (the one by JCgrind is what I'm noticing) you may want to check out if you haven't already. I'm using pt4, myself.

1) Both PokerTracker and Holdem Manager install Postgres, both companies use this open source enterprise class database to store data. If you are already an HM2 user, then you can safely instal PokerTracker 4 and we can usually use the same PostgreSQL server for both applications.

2) PokerTracker 4 is very easy to learn how to use due to the drill down nature of the application. Before you buy you can start with our 30 day trial, and watch our 3.5 hours worth of tutorial videos which are found here: https://www.pokertracker.com/videos/PT4. Each video is embedded in the application, just look for the green [?], they are designed to be short and effective - only covering the topic for the current report or window you are viewing. We provide a 30 day free trial and a 14 day money back guarantee, so you have nothing to worry about - we wil lmake sure you are up and running or you can ask for a refund (we are proud that very fre refunds are needed!)
