This is going to be awesome...when PT4 comes out for Mac :)

Does this look familiar? That is all I can show for now, but this is proof that PokerTracker 4 for OS X is VERY REAL... its just a matter of time before we are all done and ready to share a free public beta to help us find the final bugs before it is commercially released. We are still testing the OS X version of PokerTracker 4, we hope to have a public beta ready right before X-Mas as a soft launch test, or in the worse case scenario in the beginning of the new year.

Your welcome! We have wanted to do this for some time, but out staff was stretched thin during the public beta and then later the commercial release of PokerTracker 4. We have actually increased our staff recently because the PokerTracker launch has gone so well, hopefully we will find more time to interact with users such as yourselves on even more forums. We agree, the personal touch is best!

Reallllllly happy to see this thread. I'm quite new to PT4 and it is the first tracker I have used properly. Will have some questions later but just saying hello for now. :)

Using PokerTracker 4 is a lot like playing poker, once you think you have become good at the game, you look back and realize some time later that you were not as knowledgeable as you once thought. Even though I am a world class expert at the use of PokerTracker, I still find myself looking back in awe when I discover a new way of using PokerTracker 4 in my game, or a little known feature that our developers sneaked in. Thats one of my favorite things about using PokerTracker 4... I am always learning, we hope you feel the same!

Thought for a minute this was a linky to the PT4 Mac download but nope just a slowroll lol

Hmmm... I wonder how we can attempt to rickroll with PokerTracker 4 OS X... ;-)

I had been semi-involved with the PT4 beta and that forum. Very nice to have a rep here at CardsChat. Welcome aboard! I'm a definite fan.

Thanks! Hope you went from the public beta to the commercial release too! We had thousands upon thousands of public beta users, thanks for helping us find all of the bugs before we released commercially, you are part of the reason why PokerTracker 4 is so rock solid!

Great to see PT4 support here, well done PT and CC

Thanks to CardChat management for letting us join the community, it is our pleasure!

I am currently having an issue with PT4. last weekend I was told I needed to update the 888 software so I did and since then the HUD has not been appearing on the tables. The hands are still being collected on the database so it's just a problem with the HUD not appearing on the tables. Any solutions?
Thanks

Any Stud product available? Even the old PT2 Stud would be fine, but I haven't found a product link for it.

888 released a new software update which changed the hand history format. The latest 4.05.7 BETA of PokerTracker 4 addresses this change, once you download this latest update your issues will be fixed.

On a related note, you probably should run the latest beta at all times. Anytime you have an issue the first thing our support team does is ask you to update to the latest beta before we can provide any help, this is the most logical first step to take because our development is forward looking, we cannot support older releases.

Any Stud product available? Even the old PT2 Stud would be fine, but I haven't found a product link for it.

The old PT2 Stud is no longer sold or supported, the hand histories on all of the networks have changed so much that it is doubtful you would be able to import any hands from today's modern games. There just isn't enough interest in purchasing a stud product for us to invest the resources needed to make a modern Stud tracker, it would cost us more to develop it than we could ever stand to make unfortunately.

If you already own PT2 Stud you can still use it to look at your old database hands from 4-5 or more years ago, but that is all it is good for at this stage I'm afraid. The development platform used to create PT2 Stud no longer exists, that means the old code used to create PT2S is virtually worthless now, we would have to start from scratch. I am a stud and mid games player, I hope someday we will have the chance to make a mixed game product, but first there needs to be more interest from players... at this stage it would be a poor business choice for us but I am crossing my fingers for some time far in the future!

PT just up and died on me after I installed 4.05.7. Tried re-installing it.

I suspect it bonked the sql stuff. I didn't touch, or do a thing. It just died.

Here are a series of screen shots I got in the order I got em.

1) No need to reinstall. The issue is with Postgres, not PokerTracker. Reinstalling just replaces the PokerTracker 4 executable, it does not touch anything related to PostgreSQL.

2) Restart your computer, the error message is telling you that PokerTracker cannot connect to Postgres, so the first thing to do is restart your computer, which will also restart your PostgreSQL Server. If that does not help, then look at the services to make sure PostgreSQL is running (google Windows Services if you need help figuring out how to do that). If the service is not running, then you have an issue with your operating system that is beyond the scope of this support thread, contact us by creating a support ticket at PokerTracker.com.

3) If the service is running, then chances are the issue was caused by your firewall or antivirus software. Please read this guide for more help: https://www.pokertracker.com/guides...all-and-security-software-configuration-guide

Good luck!

Emirlidan.

1) If you suspect your computer is too old, then chances are you are right. Our minimum system requirements are listed here, but keep in mind these are just the minimum for workable performance... we actually recommend much better specs than this for a true workhorse machine.
https://www.pokertracker.com/faq/PT4#Minimum_Requirements

2) What you want from a tracker does not exist to the best of my knowledge, a tracker needs to record information on your opponents just so it can track your own results - after all your opponents are part of the equation when you win or lose, they are impossible to separate from your results. It may be best for you to not use a tracking program and instead just track your results in a spreadsheet the old fashioned way, something to consider for sure. We don't mind losing a potential customer, our goal is to make sure all player's needs are met to the best of our ability, if we do that then nature has its own way of making sure our company sells software ;-)

Went through the remedy options and this did it.

You can also try stopping the service (Start -> Programs -> PostgreSQL -> Stop Service), running a search on your computer for postmaster.pid and then deleting that file, then restarting the service and see if that helps.
Note that you may need to turn on 'View hidden files and folders', and the file should be in the folder ./Program Files/PostgreSQL/<version>/data
Thanx much. Great service you're providing here. Great product too.

Trick works with PT3,

https://www.cardschat.com/report.php?p=1993087

Probably not PT's fault but seat selection at WPN would be great.

What trick? The link you provided does not work. Also WPN is the Wizards Play Network, which we do not support (PokerTracker has nothing to do with Magic The Gathering), or are you referring to something else?
