While I do choose 'ignore' and 'restore' - when I install ACR, BC (WPN skins) and ignition, I get a trojan alert.

I sometimes wonder if these sites have a back door so they CAN see perhaps what 'processes' you are running?

I don't use HUD's or any third party software but I do so wonder why Norton alerts on a trojan for lots of poker software in general.

Anyone have any thoughts on why these alerts might pop up?

I don't mean to scare anyone here, I think the software from ACR/BC and Ignition is 'safe' but I so rarely ever see any such warning when installing software.

I'm running Windows 10 but I used to see this on older versions too.

This antivirus in the major of cases, notify that alert. In case of WPN skins try to do an exclusion on the antivirus setting (only for the WPN files in specific). If you need more details please contact directly with the Norton antivirus CS department.

I didn't comprehend that - the deficit may be my side.

Could you reword that?

"This antivirus in the major of cases, notify that alert. "

That first sentence threw me - it doesn't seem valid grammatically

Are you by any chance an employee of ACR?

Either way- it might just be English isn't your first language and that's all good - but if you could elaborate... I wasn't able to derive any value from your response other than - contact Norton - which completely deflected any accountability to ACR...

seems a bit - strange to me is all

Norton tries to quarantine ACR, I just bring it back.
If you are thinking that this"trojan" some how affects your game, that is up to you.
Personally I get my best results on ACR and enjoy what the site has to offer.

I haven't had any good runs on the site, too many crazies for me. I do get the same responses from Windows Defender. I can tell it to ignore, but it still attacks the site.

Windows is I feel starting to delve too deep into my doings. I am thinking seriously of going straight linux on all I have.

Good luck with that! You won't be running any poker room software on Linux. Need a Windows OS to run the software.

Yeah, I felt the same way when I read it.

Norton AV flags the ACR software and sends a notification in most cases. This affects all WPN skins like ACR and BCP. You will need to add an exclusion for the software in the AV settings.

This happens with almost every poker software. Probably because there are special algorithms that anti-viruses take as a threat. But I have just Windows defender and it never found!

You should mention what is the exact message so that we can come to solution. can you post the detailed report on Norton about the threat so that we can guide the members either to allow as exceptions list.

At me for example there is an antivirus program ESET. He, too, sometimes during the installation of programs warns about the probability of infecting a computer by intruders. Sometimes this is due to a lack of license in the program or if it is overdue. I do not pay attention to this. If a hacker wants to make your smart fridge an enemy.

Some antivirus software sends alerts to almost any software you are going to install. I guess these sites with so much users playing won't be trying to shut down your computer, they make profits of people playing on their sites
