Mouse help needed
I have a Logitec and a Microsoft mouse. The Microsoft is the low end budget wireless kind. The Logitec I was given with a good keyboard, so assuming it is ok, but it is old and the buttons are starting to fail. The Microsoft is there in case of sudden battery failure, I always have a second mouse ready. But with my Logitec dying, I need a new one. I dont want to spend a fortune but since I find that the Microsoft has tracking problems sometimes, I need a better one. I have no idea what to look for, as well as what to consider. I have a mouse pad, and a white painted steel cabinet. The surface is smooth and flat, white glossy. The mouse has tracking problems with the pad as well as directly on the surface. The pad is a freebee from a bank, cloth surface.
OK, I think that is enough info. Is a smooth glossy surface and a cheap cloth surface the reason for tracking problems (possibly?) or is it the cheap mouse? Or both??
What do I need to consider, and how inexpensive can I stay and still have a mouse that will be reliable with multi tabling?
