Hey everyone,

We're excited to enter into the private beta phase of Poker Data, a new poker database App! We're looking for a very limited group of users to take it for a spin and provide some ongoing feedback as we ramp up development.

The application consists of two parts:
1) Light-weight desktop uploading tool which uploads hands to your private cloud database
2) Browser-based online player profile populated by your uploaded results

The product is in its very early stages, but we have a lot of plans for new features and improvements. We're looking for users who specifically play No Limit Holdem cash games on pokerstars (sorry, we're planning on adding new networks/rooms over time, as well as new gametypes and formats).

If you're interested, please visit www.pokerdata.com and sign up for the beta. Not all users on the list will be granted access right away but we'll be in touch with everyone to keep them informed of when they'll get a chance to get their hands on the application.

If you have any questions feel free to post here or PM me.

I play pokerstars.fr, presumably it would work with that?

Also, how does this bit work?
Improve Your Game

Your player profile will help you identify your strengths and weaknesses and give insight into taking your skills to the next level.

But really I wonder what someone would gain from this compared to say HM2, along with their cloud service, and LB?

Got any screenshots of what's behind the login?

Hey guys,

Thanks for signing up! I'll send you all emails with your details shortly (assuming you're on the mailing list for the beta, if not you can add yourself here: www.pokerdata.com).

We've intentionally avoided giving any screenshots for this initial private beta with the hopes of getting only the most inquisitive individuals such as yourselves to really try the product rather than just sign up and forget it.

As we expand and get more users on board, we'll be more open about what's behind the curtains :)

Argh, no PM sending privileges yet.

Anyway, if you signed up on the homepage you should have received your instructions in your inboxes already. If not, PM me your email address and I can have accounts created for you.

Also: RE: PokerStars FR: it should work for Stars.FR, as I believe hand formats are the same, however there may not be a distinction with pokerstars.com in terms of any labels or text referring to the poker room you may see on the site. I've taken note of this and we'll add it to the list of fixes.

Hey all,

There was an issue with hand uploads for the accounts we created. It's been solved, so if you were having problems getting hands onto your profile, it should be fixed now and your hands will upload as expected. Sorry about the glitch!

The desktop app uploads your hands to your private db and then calculates the stats and results.

We'll have more of the common stats available soon, we're just making sure they calculate properly.

The download link is in the email that also had your username/password details.

Also, I goofed: the folder is NOT automatically detected with the first install, so you'll have to right click the icon and in Preferences -> poker sites, click the auto-detect button to locate the default Stars hh folder, or click Add a poker site and you can browse for the folder where you store your hands.

Still early and I am just having coffee and getting kids ready for school, so I wont have time to check it out yet, and I am not yet registered, but curios. I have, for now, one question:

If you use a tracker, and play at other sites as well as stars, you HH are all stored together. Do you just direct the app to the HEM or PT folder, and it sorts out the stars hands?

Yep, that's one way you can direct the app to the location of hands - it'll be in the right-click menu of Preferences. The app should sort out which hands are for which room and group them accordingly.

Right now we're working on the mechanics of that, so currently it'll just pull the Stars hands and create a profile for your screen name.

That shouldn't be a problem. Once we add networks you'll be able to specify which one you're adding a screen name for.

Quick update: we've added proper formatting to the hand history viewer.

There's still a bit more work to be done here but you should now be able to review the hands and results properly in your Sessions.

Some users mentioned that their poker names weren't being automatically added. This should be fixed now. You can check your name (and add others) in your Settings on the website.

Also, we've had some requests for new rooms to add support for.

Right now we have Full Tilt lined up, after that we have iPoker, Merge, 888, and Party queued in no particular order.

If you have a preference, we have a running tally going and we'll work on the one voted highest by our private beta users (from CardsChat as well as other corners of the interweb).

It's been a while since we last posted here!

We just did a release yesterday which includes adding support for FTP and fixing up the session graph previews

We've had some great feedback so far, so keep it coming!

If you're waiting on getting accepted into the beta, please PM me directly and I'll shuffle you in through the back entrance.
