Hi, anyone use jivaro? I use it sometimes, but the last few days, I have been upgraded to their premium version? Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi! This weekend they allow to use premium for free. I use basic for couple of months and it's good but I'm still thinking of upgrading.

Just try it, it's for free, then you can decide for yourself.
I use it, and I'm happy about it, but if you want more specific and detailed information, you should go for a more complete HUD, which will cost you some bucks.

It's definately better than nothing. You get 3 basic HUDs for free: VPIP, PRF and AF, if I'm not mistaking. Sure it helps, however you are still missing a lot.
Unfortunately they don't have a trial period so you could understand if it's worth paying for the premium version. Have to pay something about 6 bucks to use it a month.

The had a trial period last weekend. Everyone with the free version coud use the premium version for 3 days. I must say it was very interesting and useful while it lasted and I totally think it's worth the 6$, maybe one day I will get it, but for now I'm fine with the basic stats and getting my play better without all the extra information.

Remember the $$$ is a monthly fee, if you are going to use it for a long time the other options are HoldemManager or PokerTracker which have one off fees and free trials

True, usually that's to use more than one month, and I checked it fast, within a year of use HM and PT (both for small stakes) is already cheaper and comes with a lot of extra stuff, while Jivaro is only a hud that you cannot even alter a lot.
Thanks for the tip!

3 days - it's about nothing. I've tried PT4 for a month and even that was not enough since you only get more or less sufficient hand history by the end of trial. So you can see and test what features a tool has and how to tune it but you can't really check if all these stats improve your play. You can only guess and hope that you will get some outcome when you have a solid hand history for a good number of your opps.

And yep, $6/month it's more expensive than HM or PT if you gonna use any of it for a long time.

For Jivaro, 3 days of a lot of playing was enough as there are not a lot of options to change and the info is still quite basic. It's very easy to use, but the other side of the coin is that it's not moldable to what you really want to do. It has all the important information (or what the developers consider the most important information) like 3-betting, fold to 3-bet, stealing, fold to stealing, c-betting, and aggression per street. But you cannot change it, if you prefer to see other things like 4-betting on flop if you would like to, while I think with HM and PT this is possible.

Also, Jivaro registers all hands a person is sitting out as if the person is folding, making the VPIP extremely low in some cases, like an übernit. Don't know if HM and PT do the same though.

JIVARO.

Hi. There is a new program to collect statistics, Jivaro. Tell us your opinion and program. Is it worth buying the premium version? I installed today the free version is Beautifully made. Convenient to use. The only, but big drawback, collected statistics are not stored. That is, if out of the table and in the new tournament met last opponent's stats will start to gather again.

Sorry for bad English. A friend who was interpreting for me the message went on vacation.

How to transfer Jivaro database to another computer? Is it possible at all?
I thought that all my hand history is stored somewhere on Jivaro servers, but when I logged in from another laptop it turned out that it's not so.

There is a file on your computer where Jivaro stores everything. You could just transfer that file to the other computer. you can even import that data into HM or PT if you would decide to change, I recently learned.
I still have to find out which file everything is stored though, so if you find, please let me know, because the path will probably be about the same.

Ok, this is what I found on Jivaro forum. The path to database is the following:
C:\Users\YOUR.USER.NAME\AppData\Local\Jivaro ehf\Jivaro
Files named "stats" contain your hand history. Placing those files into the same folder on another computer should make your history available there as well. And when you come back to your original computer you'll have to take these files with you again. It doesn't look very convenient, but at least it's possible.
I haven't tried this yet, but hope it works.

Indeed, the database file is there. Didn't try to transfer it, but seems legit.
Only difficulty is to find the appdata map, as this is a hidden map. Best way to find it is to do a search in your computer for %appdata% and you should be able to find it.

No Jivaro is only a HUD, not much more than that. The program itself shows your general stats over all time (VPIP, PFR AFq), and the hands during the session. That's it.

Are you kidding? This is exactly my post dated May 28th. Why are you repeating it?

Jivaro a good program. the basic version for a normal game in tournaments is enough, it is a pity that it only works on PS.

Yesterday I got Jivaro newsletter saying they terminate basic version on September 1st. It means there will not be free HUD anymore, only premium version for charge.
For existing users free trial of full Jivaro will be offered for 4 weeks.

Got the same mail. I guess I will finally have to make the trial with PT and HM then. Problem is that currently I don't have a lot of time to play, so it would be a waste to do a free trial of a month and then only play 5 times.
Are there any other free HUDs around? I know about FPDB, but heard it's a nightmare to make it work. Anyone experience with that one?
