The icons represent opponents playing style.
Each category can be edited by the user ... can't say exactly where in the menu since I'm at work now.
As an example I'll take the green fish (fish), the whale (BIG fish) and the rock:
If opponent has a vpip > 40% over 20 hands he's a fish.
If opponent has a vpip > 50% over 40+ hands he's a whale.
If opponent has a vpip < 10% over 50 hands he's a rock.
These are only examples and the numbers needn't be true.

Thanks. I still gotta know definition and meaning of other icons but your post will help me a lot since fish/whale/cell phone are the most common icons.

HM1 - Options > Auto Rate.. > [x] Enable AUtorate
HM2 - They are enabled by default for the Default 2.0 HUD. You can enable/disable them for each HUD instead of globally. HUD Options > Config Properties > Pick your HUD from the drop-down preview window > HUD Settings > [x] Show autorate icon
