I have a few questions about PT3, Hm and Poker Edge.

A little about myself and were I am coming from. I have been playing for a long time off and on. Started a good 8-12 person weekly home game. And then started playing at Fox Woods. Started at the 1-2 limit game. Moved to 3-6 and then on to 5-10. I played a little 10-20 at times. But I could play freely. The money had to much value at that point and changed my game a lot. Left me to get pushed around. Started to get a little better and I was tried of not being able to get people off there hands. I feel like I ran into the same players at the 5-10 game that I did at the 1-2 game. The only difference was there bankroll.

I was a winning player back then. But I was just happy to be at the table. Playing for six hours and walking out with an extra $80-110 was a average night for me.

Then I start playing online. It more less ruined my game. I did not have the patience to play. I was playing drunk when I got home from the bar and so on. That was ring games.

Now years later I am back. I pick Harrington's Vol 1 and Phil Gordon's Little Green Book (Audio) And I am playing the right way for the first time.

I have put $50 into a FT account. I have it up as high as $430 and low these days is around $180. I play the $6 and $12 90 Knock Out SNG”s. Most games I am finishing in the #20-30 range. And cashing enough to keep me going. But that's it. I cant seem to go any further. And I want to take it to the next level. And searching the net lead me here.

What I want to do is track 3000+ of my hands so I can find my leaks. Its seems everyone thinks there program is the best. The poker Edge guys they its the only way to play. The rest of the people seem to hate them for what some say is cheating.

Will any of these programs pull my hands off the poker site? just record them as I play. I can look at my screen name and see my history. but it has years of bad play on it. I just need something that will start tracking my hands now.

if it makes a difference I am playing on Full Tilt. Do I have to pull my hands off the site myself? maybe pull some files off and save the hands. And plug all the files into another program.

I am sure there are a lot of you doing this. Can someone please tell me what i need to do.

Thanks

When you start using HM and PT you have to tell your poker sites to
save your hand history to a folder and HM or PT reads them from
this folder, it is easy to set up and all explained on the respective
sites

as far as I can remember the poker sites will only save hands to this folder
from when you set them up to

If you decide to use either PT or HM and get stuck feel free to PM me
and I will help if I can as I have used both

Poker edge is prohibited on most major sites. eg. http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/room/prohibited/

PT3 and HEM both have decent free trials, 60 days I think... This gives you plenty of time to check them out and find out how they work and what they do. They both have very good support at their forums if you have problems. Try them both and see what you think

Like stubzy said, PokerEdge is bound to get your account locked up and funds siezed because it is a prohibited program(and the sites do check your computers for them). As far as the trials on HEM and PT3, HEM has a 15 day trial, and PT3 has a 60 day trial. HEM in my opinion will be easier for you to use and is a better program, but either will do not only what you are looking for them to do, but way more to help your game.

One thing to keep in mind...you will need to track way more than only 3000 hands to find any real leaks in your game unless it is as simple as you are playing too many/little hands preflop or that you're not raising enough pre.

you can request hand histories from tilt through my promotions/ hand history page, and if you email stars you can get old HH emailed from them as well.

If you only need 3000 hands this shouldn't be too hard to get and import into PT3 or HEM
