I was wondering if anyone knows if I can add tourneys manually to my HM2 database?
I have looked on the website and it says you can but I cant understand how it is done, has anyone on here managed to do it and can tell me how to?
Thanks in advance.

It is not possible. You can add winnings in the form of a bonus.

What are you trying to accomplish?

I play tourneys on my tablet and it would be nice to be able to put the data from these hands in my HM2 database.

If it's pokerstars you should be able to request the HH to your email, from within the poker client when on your pc, put the hand history in a text file and then do a manual import of HH which will bring the tourney into your data.

At least this is what I had to do with some that didn't import correctly in my PT4 so I would figure HM would work the same.

Apparently, so PS told me, tablets do not use the same formula for sending data and PS cannot send it to me HH from my tablet, which sounds to me a bit stupid.
poker sites and Tablet etc makers are going to have to realise very soon that more and more people will play poker on their tablets and will still want to use HM2 to analyse their results.
If things stay the way they are when HM3 is released I wont be buying it. if I cant study all my results it is pointless studying any.

Hmm, odd that the hh would be formatted differently from the tablet version. If you know your results could probably dummy up a text file and then edit the results once it imports the tourny.

Tis strange but i guess must be something in the tablet client with being toned down to run on a table that it has to do the hh differently, I just would have thought on the backend of stars where they hold all tourny HH's that it would come in the same version as from the desktop client. Interesting to know this though.

I do not believe that. You might have gotten the wrong one. Try emailing back. I'm 95% sure they hand histories are stored on the server, they don't come from the user's device/computer. If what this rep said is true, you could edit an hh and then complain that you didn't get the right money.

One thing I have seen is that they tend to have a break in the top line that just needs to be deleted so it looks like the normal HH's.

Ask for your tournament summaries as well. They need to be saved on your computer as well.

Sites like poker stars, full tilt poker and Pacific will require a separate Tournament Summary/History file to be imported for HM2 to properly calculate the size, places, and prizes. If your site does not write summaries, or you experience any discrepancies with the results, you will need to manually edit the results via the Reports > Tournament > Tournaments > right-click > edit.

You may need to request and import any/all of your old tournament histories and import those to HM2. By default Stars do not write the tourney summaries to your hard drive, so please enable the option in the PokerStars client and be sure that HM2 has added the folder to your Auto Import Folder Configuration.

Email support@[yourpokersite].com and ask for ALL your old Hand Histories and Tournament Histories/Summaries.

They will send you an email with links to zip files of your hand histories. Download all the zip files. Right-Click > Extract the contents of each zip file to a new folder. HM > Import From Folder for all of the unzipped hands.

The tournament summaries may be attached to the email as .htm files. Download the attachments. HM > Import File(s) for all of those files. It will probably ask you to search/select your Pokerstars screen name. If the files are sent as .html you will need to rename them (Right-Click > Rename) from .html to .htm extensions.
Example of correct file:
starshtmlfile2.gif

If you continue to have problems, please zip and email the problem hand histories. All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM2Archive is in C:\HM2Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31).

Yes, import that file after the hands have been imported. You can also import the player audit file.

The playing history audit file won't do anything unless you have already imported the hand history files and tournament summary files. The audit file only sometimes helps correct results information if hands/summaries were processed incorrectly but if you never imported the hands/summaries there is nothing for the audit file to compare results with.

Email support@pokerstars.com and ask for ALL your old Hand Histories and Tournament Histories/Summaries. You can also request specific tournament hands or the last X hands/tournaments from their Requests menu but I am not sure if they will also send summaries when requested this way and without the summaries we can not know your finish/prizes.

They will send you an email with links to zip files of your hand histories. Download all the zip files. Right-Click > Extract the contents of each zip file to a new folder. HM > Import From Folder for all of the unzipped hands.

The tournament summaries should be attached to the email as .htm files. Download the attachments. HM > Import File(s) for all of those files. If the files are sent as .html you will need to rename them (Right-Click > Rename) from .html to .htm extensions.

Did you import the tournament summary? Right-click it and edit the finish.

All you should need is the hand history files and tournament summaries. You can request them by tournament number in the desktop client's requests menu.
