About a month ago, I downloaded Poker tracker 4 and Holdem Manager 2 (trial versions) around the same time to check em out.
I ran both of em a couple times but didn't really know what I was looking at our how to use the info, but at the time, thought that PT4 was easier to understand (what little I could grasp) then my computer totally crashed and I lost EVERYTHING!
It took an act of congress to get it back up and running and in the end, I had to reformat my HD and reinstall everything.
At the time, I was using my tmobile phones hot spot and it took 4 ever to re-download all the windows updates etc...(like 12 hours for Vista SP2...lol)
Since then I re-DL PT4 and have ran it a few times and have been learning how to interpret the various stats... I have yet to re-DL HEM....
but yesterday, I got hooked up fat with a new internet service and am happy to say it's the fastest I've ever, ever, ever...surfed and I've been online, steady... since 97 !
WHAT im wondering is which one is better?? HEM or PT and which version is better of either???
I'm ready to get serious about learning how to play cash games and need all the help I can get!
Thanks!~@@

It really does come down to personal preference for the most part. They are both great programs.

I started with PT3/PT4 and liked it alot. But i discovered Notecaddy, and found out that it was HM2 exclusive. So did the trial, and really ended up liking HM2.

PT4 has Leaktacker and Notetracker which are included in the program, but they aren't as good as the full versions of Leakbuster and Notecaddy. You do have to pay for the other two programs, but i do recommend them both at some point if you are gonna be playing cash games. As a newer cash player myself, Leakbuster has been a huge help.

so i'd say just spend a little time with each, and see which one you prefer. good luck!
