HUD stats

I have found details of most of the available stats for HEM from here:

but there is one element of the HUD that I am not sure about. In the top middle of the attached screenshot it shows 16/8 $1,628 and what I assume is the outcome of the last 3 hands.

What do the 16/8 and $1,628 refer to, please?

16/8 refers to the table average vpip and pfr

1628 $ is the average pot -

Also apparently if you click on one of the dollar amounts or player names, it will bring up the relevant hand history for you

Yep, and furthermore, while the hand history panel is open, if you click on the tickbox at top left it marks the hand for later review. This is a good way of making sure that, at the end of a long session, you can readily find the two or three most interesting hands to look at again.
