How many players here use Software

I've seen a lot of discussion about software on here, but I've never used it myself.


I was wondering how many people actually use poker software and if it helped?


What are some of your favorite poker software?

So just to add, I heard that Daniel Negreanu was talking about seat software.
Is it possible to track players and use software to sit with people that you know are fish or does the software actually find people based on their statistics?

in the trend of modern poker without software in online poker can not be! I use hm2 and simple nash and hardware to improve my game! and gaining an edge over your opponents who do not use poker software!

I don't use any software. I have heard that using software takes time to understand and implement successfully.

I also play the old way. intuition is my software. I just think that all this is wrong, it's still a fraud. Poker is the battle of human intellects. machine is not the place, this is my opinion.

i do use software..PT4 (poker tracker 4) Heads up display and it is helping my game enormously..statistically when looking at opponents style of play, how many hands do they play, what position do they play from and what is their bet sizing...plus many more..

There is a lot of software out there..im always dubious on pro endorsed software and tend to look at what systems are used widely and not for personal benefit.

I would advise you to identify what areas of your game you feel need improving, sometimes software is not the answer!

Thanks Pirate. I've played poker for over 30 years without poker software.


I think you make a good point about tracking player statistics, bet sizing, etc.


When I have multiple games going, it's hard to keep track of all of that information on my own.

I play a lot of tournament poker and have been using trials of the various HUD packages. It does help keeping stats on so many players on-line. PT4 and HM2 seem to be the major players. Both offer 30 day trials and it is a bit overwhelming at first with all the data and the best way to use the info but after playing around with the various options, it can provide a lot of info on the players you are facing. Use it to aid you in making decisions not to make a decision for you. Good luck on the tables!
