Hi everyone,

Hope this is the right forum, I noticed all my stats were publicly available at top shark and I was wondering if there is a way to hide it? Actually, I'd prefer if it can be made private so that I can see them but I doubt that would be possible.

Also are there any other sites that index stats publicly this way?

Also how good is 5 stars on a 9 card on Top Shark?

Thanks.

Your info will be available at www.pokertableratings.com if you are playing cash ring games. No way to hide it there that I know of. On the bright side, your opponents can't hide either. :)

With Sharkscope you can block your stats by submitting your username + e-mail address.

Topshark / Pokerprolabs has an opt-out link at the bottom of the page, which leads to this info box:

"To block your username from search, please submit the request to support@pokerprolabs.com . You will need to include your username and poker site that you would like your username to be blocked from. Please note that it may take up to 24 hours for your username to be blocked from search."

If you opt-out, you won't be able to see your stats either.

Im pretty sure you can sign up for sharkscope for free and then make your info private.

Yeah, actually you don't even need to signup if I remember correctly.

You just have to submit a screen name plus an e-mail address and then click the link they send to your e-mail.

So if I wanted, I could actually block someone else's screen name as well.

Only if you could access that person's email because to be completed the process requires that you click on a link in the email sent to you by Sharkscope.

And I do believe that accessing other people's email without their permission is a very uncool thing to do, not to mention probably illegal in most places.

That's right, but if I input your screen name and my e-mail, I believe Sharkscope would send the link to my e-mail address.

I'm not advocating this practice, but I've heard of it being abused in the past by ego driven players that wanted to be at the top of the leaderboard.

To hide your stats on sharkscope you have to transfer ~ 3 cents to them from the account you want hidden. They return it to you btw.

What about sites like UB that have a Min transfer policy, UB min transfer is $10.00.

I believe the 3 cents thing was just for pokerstars at one point because you couldn't transfer less than $5 on Full Tilt before. On Full Tilt you would just email them and they would block it, of course like was already said anybody could block anybody, don't know whats changed since then.

My impression was that Sharkscope now checks with the poker sites requested to confirm that the email is legit for the screen name and is why implementaion of the block can take up to 24 hours. Just an impression, mind you. Maybe wishful thinking too ;)

Oh thank you for my first laugh of the day!! That is so totally insane LOL. The lengths that some people will go to feel important in their own little worlds....amazing.

I blocked a couple of my screennames about 8 or 10 months ago, when I was grinding HU SNGs. I'm pretty sure the 24 hour delay is because the opt-out process requires a manual operation.

There is pretty much a 0% chance that any poker site is communicating with Sharkscope about matching e-mail addresses to screennames, due to the fact that:

a) It would be a privacy breach
b) Sharkscope is considered a banned applicaton on many poker sites (Full Tilt, Pokerstars, and others)

Sick 5-year bump.

  1. Open up your PokerStars client
  2. Click the Tools button on the right.
  3. Select Transfers and Trades and then Transfer to another player from the menu.
  4. Transfer $0.01 to SharkScope - you’ll be opted out and payed back within 5 days.
^^That is how.

Yes, I did it! But my statistics are still visible and I want to leave them private for me. :s:

You cannot make your statistics only private to you. Once you block your stats, they are not visible to anyone, including yourself.
