Hi there was just looking online for holdem manager 2 and noticed that you can 'Get it free' by signing up to affiliated sites but need to earn a certain number of points. I am looking to sign up to pokerstars this way and was wondering if it is a good deal and how easy it is to earn the points required?
Thanks in advance.

Well, you didn't provide much information. I looked it up and it says it needs to be a minimum deposit of 50 and 225 points. 225 VPP's isn't a small number, but achievable. Depends on how much do you play, what stakes do you play. Few hours a day and you will earn the 225 VPP's in a month.

yeah, use the pokerstars calculator to work out what stakes you need to play to get what vpps, and keep in mind you need a bankroll to sustain if you run bad.

I am mainly looking to play micro stakes cash games 0.02/0.05 and micro sit and go's. If/when I achieve the points will they be taken away from my account in return for the software?

re: Poker & Holdem manager deal
Well, at pokerstars you will get 5.5VPP per 1$ of rake.
So you need to produce about 41$ of rake.
With 50$ bankroll it will definitelly take some time. If HEM license is worth about 40$, then it gives you about 100% rakeback.
Also as far as I know, you will still get common bonuses for new players (welcome bonus, maybe some free tickets etc.). You just loose the option to use different affiliate and advantages from that (usually some freeroll etc.).
