Just so you know, PT bought out HM way back. The companies are both owned by the 'pokertracker' corporation.
If you only play holdem, I would go for HM2 as it's more money and the graphs and HUD are much prettier & user-friendly.

If you play Omaha as well as Hold'em and want a lot of detail and customisation to your graphs and detailed leak-spotting etc without having to pay extra then get PT4 (HM2 has 'leakbuster' but if you are actually smart enough the extra graph customisations PT4 gives you means you can spot your own leaks).

Basically If you don't need super detailed HUD or graph analysis and only play hold'em form of poker then HM is the way to go.

I can not adapt to these software, the only one I liked the easy interface to learn was JIVARO, although it is a trial, I am thinking of buying the complete version

Just so you know, PT bought out HM way back. The companies are both owned by the 'pokertracker' corporation.

The companies merged, and are now known as Max Value Software. What makes you think it was PT that bought out HM?

If you only play holdem, I would go for HM2 as it's more money and the graphs and HUD are much prettier & user-friendly.

Why would HM2 being more money be a point in its favor?

If you play Omaha as well as Hold'em and want a lot of detail and customisation to your graphs and detailed leak-spotting etc without having to pay extra then get PT4 (HM2 has 'leakbuster' but if you are actually smart enough the extra graph customisations PT4 gives you means you can spot your own leaks).

Omaha costs extra for both. For PT4, it's called the "Omaha Edition". For HM2 it's "Omaha Manager 2".

PT4's "Leak Tracker" is included at no extra cost. Ace Poker Solutions's "Leak Buster" works for PT4 or HM2, and is a more robust solution. It needs to be purchased separately.
You can buy it as an "App" for HM, or as a stand-alone program for use with PT4, but it works either way for NLH.
The Omaha and Limit Hold'em versions only work for Hold'em Manager and Omaha Manager.

HM's NoteCaddy Premium and Snowie Apps, both purchased separately, are often cited as reasons to buy HM.

HM and PT both offer free trials, so why not try them both?

Because it doesn't cost more it uses all the money to specifically perfect it's Holdem HUD and graphs

FOR the OP ,and others interested , Rational Madman doesn't use either , doesn't have a clue about each program capabilities and what he is saying is as usual wrong.

I own both and use Both PT4 and HEM2 and alpha/beta tester for HEM3. Purchasing hem2 now will get a free upgrade to HEM3 when it is released.

use the months free trial for HEM2 , PT4 , drive hud , xeester , hand2note and you will have 5 fee months of HUD use to make enough to buy 1 of them that youprefer. Alternatively you can sign up through some of them to a new poker site grind X amount of rake and then you get a full version of the software free. Check that the software you offers this promotion though.

Jivaro is overpriced with limited functionality. As a direct comparison for the subscription model , for micro stakes jivaro is 4.99 per month and works on pokerstars and WPN , drive hud is ~10$ for a full year , with a lot more functionality and support for a lot more sites.

5 bucks a month looks pretty expensive for micro imo. and it only works in PS...
