On New Years Day I had a functioning Holdem Manager 2 but my hard drive died and I had to replace it and reinstall Windows 7. I have not been able to use it properly since. I've gone back and forth with HEM2 support and got absolutely nowhere... on some occasions their advice even made the problem worse. I have wasted days and days on this and got nowhere. I even gave up at one point and tried to use my newly purchased version of PT4. I also failed to get this working.
The problems I'm having consist of the hud not updating which is a complete nuisance if I'm multitabling (Imagine concentrating on playing 15+ tables and having to stop and restart the hud every time you need to make a decision). Another problem is that the alert viewer is constantly telling me that I have incorrect site/time adjustments for pokerstars.
I've kind of worked out that it's probably Win 7 permissions that are the problem. I can no longer sync my HEM2 notes with Pokerstars, but everytime I set them as non-read-only they reset back within seconds.
I'm posting this in the desperate hope that someone else has gone through this from a fresh install of windows and can offer a solution as I simply no longer know what to do and am at my wits end with it all. I've gone from a winning player to a just-above-breakeven player and I put most of this down to all the time I've had to put into trying to sort this problem out. Please, please, please... someone help!

Can you PM me your email address you have been communicating with us from so I can look up your email history so I know what we have suggested in the past? Have we offered a remote support session yet? I am guessing we likely haven't since this sounds more like a stars issue than a HM2 issue but once I can review your email history I can decide if we should do one regardless.

Do you have any other ps.xx clients? Please uninstall any you are no longer playing and delete their leftover C:\Users\Szilárd\AppData\Local\PokerStars.NET type folders. If you can't see it, turn off the windows option that is hiding that directory. http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/130/How+to+See+Hidden+Files+in+Windows+

If you are playing on more than one ps.xx skin make sure their time settings are configured the same.

Please see this FAQ to alleviate any security bottlenecks - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/2561/Set+Correct+Permissions+on+files+and+folders+HM2+use

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Many of those free Norton, Mcaffee, Comodo, Zonealarm, Avira, Avast, AVG, Bitdefender, etc, 'internet security' bundles will not work well with Holdem Manager.

Please do the following steps, so we can get your computer to a state that we know will work with Holdem Manager:

1) Uninstall any 3rd party security software bundles.
2) Reboot your computer
3) Please install the latest version: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/Holdem_Manager_2_Beta.exe
- After downloading, you should right-click the file, go to properties and click unblock. Then, right click the file and run as administrator.
4) Enable Windows Firewall's recommended settings through your Control Panel, turn off Windows Defender, and add firewall exceptions for HM and SQL - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/1011/Software+Security+Problems+(Firewall)#MSES
5) Install Microsoft Security Essentials for antivirus/malware protection and update it - http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

Hi Fozzy71. I've pm'd my email to you. I don't currently have any other clients on my machine as I was initially trying to tackle each problem I was having individually.... starting with the "Incorrect site/time adjustment for pokerstars" error which I get daily no matter what...There has been a complete reinstall of Win 7 since I last played on any client other than pokerstars. I've reinstalled Win 7 5 times this year trying to sort this problem which is why I'm leaning towards the idea that it's Win 7 Permissions that may be the problem. I'll look at your reply to my post in more detail when I have a little more time but I've had three different antivirus (and even tried to run it all without antivirus) on the different installs of Win 7 and still had the same problems. I have a second database that I've been testing to see if it's the database that's the problem and have also run a blank database but the problems still persist. I went through a HEM2 forum post on permissions and it was here that completely locked me out of both HEM2 and PT4... Thanks for your time in responding.
