Before I do anything to snafu my set up, I cant seem to find any info. On the HEM site it says if you already have HEM 1 you can download the free trial version from inside the main application, but I cant find how to do this.

Thanks

AND: can I like just start to play, or do I need to take a day or 3 to learn how to set it up? I play a lot on the WE so if it is a day or 2 long thing I would wait till Monday...lol

i think this is the link you need: http://www.holdemmanager.com/upgrade-holdem-manager.php

i tried it late last year for about a day then uninstalled. HM2 is completely different than HM1. assuming the layout is still the same then it will probably take you days/weeks to get use to it.

edit: wrong link. not sure where i downloaded from.

You need to run the full HM2 installer from our homepage:
http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/Holdem_Manager_2_Setup.exe

HM2 and HM1 are totally independent programs. The only thing which can be used for both is the postgresql database server. So if you have HM1 up and running on the same PC make sure that the Postgresql part is disabled during the HM2 installation.

^^ Pretty-much this. I tried it right after it came out, made a seious effort to learn it for about a week or so, then gave-up and went back to HM1. HM2 is completely different than HM1 and any familiarity you have with HM1 isn't going to help you much with HM2.

@Fletch, I'd be interested to get your take on HM2 if you do decide to try it. One note of caution though, at least in my case, HM2 seems to have a pretty steep learning curve in comparison to HM1 so I'd anticipate days or weeks to get it working to your liking instead of an HM1 scenario where you can pretty-much be up and running on the first day.
