HEM ????????????

Who is really smart when it comes to Holdem manager? I just downloaded the trial version and loaded it and the update but nothing is showing up on my screen, I think I imported the files and still nothing. please help

I'm new to HEM, but this is pretty straightforward so I'll take a shot - were on your hard drive are you saving your HH's? On the import tab, when you select Import from Folder and specify the folder, and go, do you see progress updates (number of hands imported, remaining time, etc.)?

ok i did all that it says under players 4165 I guess thats how many players ive played against. but it still not showing anything on my game like they show in the screenshot.

You need to tell HEM who you are, so to speak. I don't have it in front of me, but if you select the reports tab, there should be a "current player" or some such button in the top row. There you can select "change" and put in your nickname at Stars and it should show you the statistics.

Ok so I got my stats to show but isnt there a hud included that shows what players do in each position while your playing I'm not getting that to come up.

The HUD displays when you're playing hands at the table, and starts automatically when you start auto import if you have HUD Options/Launch HUD With Auto Import enabled in the ring menu.

Besides the link provided above by coolnout, try reading through some of the threads at the HEM forum. Every topic has been discussed many times and there are more detailed instructions there.

Also how do I get the stats to the correct seat if I'm in a preferred seat???

Absolutehamm (sp?) recently did a detailed 1K post explaining all the stats in download form.

I don't know that these are the exact terms, but this is how I read them

VPiP - the percentage of pots in which this player voluntarily put money in the pot. This does not include blinds.

PFR - Pre flop raise percentage

AF - Agression factor, measures only post flop play

These are the numbers that I use and understand. I'm sure someone with a lot more experience than I have can be more help.

HUD Options -> Player Preferences
This opens the HUD window. From here you select what stats you want to be displayed on the HUD and it will tell you what each stat currently displayed represents.

HUD Options -> Seating Preference
Where you input which seat is your preferred seat.

Bonus tip: Open HUD Options -> Player Preferences. In that window there's a tab called something I can't remember (I believe it's the second tab). There, you can check the box that displays the abbreviations for all the stats.
