Hey all.

Ive been getting more serious about my game in the past few months and was wondering if I should be investing in a h.u.d or other analysis application. Curious what other people use, if at all? (and possibly reasons for either) Also looking at push/fold calculators and Apps. Anybody using these?

Thanks for your suggestions in advance.

PokerTracker does a beautiful job here.

For tournament poker the stats on fold to steal, attempt to steal, steal sb vs bb and fold to cb are golden and will help you a lot to catch on a rhythm on the table and hide a lot of leaks on your game, for example, overdefending bb vs sb and c-bet sizings.

Pokertracker and Poker Copilot have 30 day trials, grab one of those and see how you like it. I did, and it does make a big difference. The post above is right, that seeing all these numbers is very helpful for deciding when to risk a bluff or when to call down a loose player/avoid a tight players raise, etc.

If you want to start using tracking software, you can start using the pokertracker or holdem manager version to get used to it before deciding to buy one of the two

Here I leave you a good configuration for the hud in tournament

BB/VPIP/PFR/3bet/fold3bet/WTSD
Cbet/FoldCbet/Steal/FoldtoSteal/AF

A hud is definitely useful if your trying to improve your game. Also if you like to multi-table it will help a lot since you have to pay attention to many tables and can't focus as much on the other players.

It should be enough samples on the opponent to trust statistics

I am using Poker Tracker 4[micro stakes version] at the momet. It costed me approx 55USD. If you want a serious poker tool I suggest you that product. It's not only the real time stats that provides you but I for one love the meta-session analysis.I review my ''hot'' decissions again. I was using Jivaro for some months but I believe there's no comparisson between them.

cheers :)

Unfortunatelly , if sb wants to get more serious about his game must obtain a hud programme/software tool , like poker tracker . Untill now I have resisted to the idea , but I think it's a matter of time till I get one of these in my hands , those statistics very usefull , I think especially in the cash games .

You should definitely give it a try, there's a few that offer 30 day trials and it's well worth shopping around as most offer different advantages.

Does anyone else see poker tracker software for online use, as a crutch, that could possibly hurt you live game? Yes online we do not have the ability to use live tells, but I am wondering if anyone has experienced this in usage versus non-usage?

To me I don't see it as a crutch and here is why. At an online poker table a player can leave the table and be replaced and I won't notice it. Also, I usually don't remember someone's screen name until I'm involved in a hand with them. For me it is much easier to remember a face than a name and it's much more obvious when someone leaves a live table. My stats and a live table are obviously not as accurate, but I still bring home a profit playing live after getting accustomed to have a HUD online.

HUD's

I was wondering if you guys use HUD's and which one you use and recommend.
I wanted to try PokerCoPilot, but I can't see the HUD on ACR. (on Stars it works just fine)

Poker Tracker 4 which I use works just fine on ACR client and in WPN platform in general BUT these sites don't provide the tournaments summaries so you can't track down your wins/loses per session for now. But the HUD works just fine real time in the game.Hope that in near future will provide these valuable summaries!
