Hi all,
On the carbon, free hud
it say's I'm either tight, aggressive solid or
tight, aggressive overplay..... usually.
What does the 'overplay' mean ?
Sorry if I'm a bit dim but I never used a hud before.
What stats should I be looking at ?
thanks in advance.

It means that you don't know how to get rid of mediocre hands in relation to what's been laid in front of you. If you are still betting aggressively with KsKc on a Ah7h6h5c board for example, then you are overplaying your hand as there are a ton of hands that could have you crushed.

What particular stats do you think the HUD is using when it goes about approximately this? Sometimes I think they are recording some of the other stats that HEM/PT3 use but just aren't displaying it figuring maybe using the numbers for those types of calculations are too complex (or maybe even to powerful in certain hands...)? I get confused myself on the classifications from time to time as the player types don't always seem to fit the numbers... might be that I need higher sample sizes as opposed to quicker sngs tho'...

I don't know, and I wasn't really talking about the Carbon HUD in particular, just explaining what I assumed overplaying was on it. I have never used Carbon's HUD, so I have no clue.

As far as your question, it wouldn't be too hard to come up with a calculation to show overplaying with just the raw hand data.

Carbon uses Went to Showdown to determine overplay.

WSD < 39% Solid
WSD > 39% Overplay

When I use the carbon hud at CC carbon freeroll ,
will it 'remember' players stats when
I play them in the next one ?

I'm assuming it would, but I mainly play SNGs. I do remember when playing some freerolls, after being moved to another table, when I ran into players I had already encountered their stats were reflected. So I would hazard to say yes... Anyone?

I know it keeps the stats when you get moved to another table in the same tourny ,
but will it keep the stats for the player, for when you meet them again in a different tourny.
Or is this what a 'tracker' does ?

well this is displayed on their http://www.carbonpoker.ag/poker-odds-calculator/user-guide.html page.

" 3.1 Overview

CarbonPoker odds Calculator compiles and stores Player Stats automatically on your computer. The very next time you login and play, the stats will be loaded automatically. So, the next time you're sitting with a tracked player you can display their stats history if you so choose. The odds calculator accomplishes this by reading the log files supplied by the online poker rooms themselves. The key to this is how CarbonPoker Odds Calculator actually remembers the action and automatically recalls it for you.
Look in your CarbonPoker Odds Calculator installation folder and you will see a sub-folder named Statistics. This is where the stats database file is located. To change the stats display format in the setting window, simply click Tools > Settings..."

and i've been able to manipulate (save, merge, etc...) the database on several occasions and review stats on players i've gone against b4 so I would think so...

The odds calculator will definitely track stats when u see them in future encounters...Check settings to make sure that your stats filter is set for history stats, and if it is exactly the same as tournament indicator calculator then you can select stats to be displayed for all time. Unfortunately I have a bankroll on merges sportsbook.ag and i cannot use the software to play on that site.
