I am having a heck of a time converting hand histories from Bovada. I've tried the one here at CardsChat, plus 4 others not affiliated with CC. Two of the converters I tried were found by doing a Google search for "Bovada Hand Converters" and even those didn't work. I am copy & pasting the hands straight from Bovada, in their format. (Note Pad) I'm not doing anything to alter them in anyway but I always get a error message about "not recognizing the format" or something along those lines. I've also tried it with a single hand and multiple hands, with & without the summary, and also with & without the Bovada table number and other Header info for each hand as well.
So with all that said, does anyone know how to convert a hand from Bovada? One that you have done before and also know it will work with CardsChat as well?
If it matters, I'm using a PC with Windows 8 (SUX BTW) at least without a touch screen which is what it was designed for.
- Thanx :jd4:

Thanks for the tip, but this program only has a 24 hour free trial and it converts my hands but they look the same as before, so IDK if it's even doing anything.

It works... 100% guaranteed, but it's directly for forum posting. It converts so that you can import them in to HM or PT. Then you can post them on forums if you want. Watch the tutorial video.

Just downloaded the Bovada HH Converter and am anxious to use it. Any idea how long it takes Bovada hand histories to be available for download? Mine say "Not yet available" under the HH Options column on Game Transactions.

I've recently tried to use this hand converter but right after I selected the folder to import in PT4 there was a message on the bottom right hand side saying import cancelled.

Anyone else have similar issues? Kind of a pain since it's only a 24 hour trial and I had to wait a decent amount of time before my hand history was available..

turns out importing was relatively easy once I actually took a moment to make sure I was importing the correct folder haha :D

but other than the hand conversion for forum posting it doesn't seem as if PT4 has any other benefits for bovada users..safe assumption?

Well, if you are using the Bovada converter, once you import your converted hands into PT4 you should be able to see stats, graphs, and review hands, etc.

that's what I figured but it seems like the hands weren't imported properly even though I followed the instructions. after importing I clicked the "errors" tab and all of the hands began with "unrecognized game type" which makes sense since it's supposed to be presented as pokerstars? but I'm able to double click each hand and then few the hand as a text file but that's it.

out of curiosity I downloaded HM2 and imported the same hands and it seems to be working flawlessly. so now I need to decide whether or not I want to figure out how to resolve the PT4 issues or just purchase HM2.

at first glance they seem pretty similar but from a bovada user's perspective which tracker seems to be the better option?

I realize the amount of people that have used the bovada hh converter with both trackers is probably pretty slim but I figured I'd ask anyway before making any final decisions :p

Hmm, i use HM2 right now, so maybe there is some sort of issue with the PT4 hands. I know it can happen when the PT or HM release new updates.

I started out with Pokertracker, but ended up switching to HM2 primarily so i could use Notecaddy. But they are both good programs. It is kind of a matter of preference. I will say having all the Apps like Notecaddy, Leakbuster, Tablescanner contained in one program is kind of nice.

I'm thinking I may be leaning towards making the switch as of now for those reasons.

much appreciated

Do you have a current version of PT4? It works with no issues. We have plenty of people who have used HM1,Hm2,Pt3 and PT4.

It's just a trial version but I'm assuming it's recent. The first issue I had was my fault because I wasn't importing the correct folder. After I managed to import them though it seemed like there was some kind of error because I could only view the hands as text files. Like I said though I tried with HM2 and it worked just fine. I'll mess around with it though to see if I'm doing something else wrong but at least I know it worked with HM2.
