I was just doing some reading in Harrington's newest. Anyway he states that PT3/HEM BB/100 stat is actually big bets per 100 hands. So if you are playing 100NL and making 2BB per hundred hands you are making $4 per hundred and not $2 per.

Is anyone else not aware of this? Should I have known this? Anyway, just wanted to put it out there to see.

HEM defaults to bb/100 (big blinds). PT3 defaults to BB/100 (Big Bets or 2 big blinds). Yes it's pretty common knowledge. Yes you should have known it. :)

Yeah, prolly should have known:). At least I'm making twice as much as I thought, per hundred anyway.

bb = big blind
BB = big bet

BB is still very commonly used today for historical reasons:

Back in the day, no limit hold'em was a rare game. Almost everyone played limit. In limit, you could only bet or raise 1 big blind on the flop, but on the turn or river, you could make a 2 big blind bet or raise! This 2 big blind bet or raise was commonly called a big bet (BB).

Everyone talked about their winrate in BB and when NL started to become popular, the terminology just stuck around.
