at the end of 2016, I blocked all poker games except tournaments and I had quite good results http://www.officialpokerrankings.com...E7CC1.html?t=2 but at the end of 2017 the deadline expired blocking !! at the beginning of last week I again blocked everything and played only tournaments and got the result of the 5th place in a small tournament http://www.officialpokerrankings.com...4-DA2B11582192 !!! I still did not fully understand how the game of zoom affects my game in tournaments !!! Someone from you already encountered such a problem ????

Switching from speed poker to normal poker

When I used to play speed poker a lot I realized that although I enjoyed the game more, it was having a negative effect on my normal speed playing. First, in the speed poker games you don't have to pay attention to anyone at the table. You don't have to identify whose playing tight or loose, who bluffs or who shoves with JT. You just play each hand against strangers and have a good time.
Secondly, it causes you to lose patience. In speed poker you catch good playable hands much, much faster then you do in normal speed games, so when going back to normal speed games you start thinking "I should be catching better hands, I must be having bad luck/variance" even though you're not. This thinking can cause you to alter your game and become a worse player.
Finally, in speed poker you don't have to worry about maintaining a table image and how other people perceive you a the table. So when you go back to playing normal speed games you just ignore this completely and play however you feel like playing.
All three are difficult to overcome, but once you identify them maybe you can find ways to make them less of a problem. And for a really fun time, try playing speed poker online for an hour then going and playing a face-to-face game. Talk about system shock.
