hi guys, ok so last night played the big 2.20 on stars, i caught pocket A,A in cut off, there was 50 left in tourney outa nearly 4000, i had better than avrg chip stack of 180,000. so everyone folds so i didint want to scare anyone of yet so i just raise double the bb, [prob my first mistake] bb calls, flop 2,Q,6, BB checks i pot size bet, he calls, turn 3, i pot size again he raises i call, then he goes allinn on river i call he shows 4,5o for a run 2 to 6. i did not expect to see them two cards at that stage where mainley everyone is having a tight range there had been no loose play at the table for ages, i prob should of folded when he raise on turn, the 3 that he needed brought a flush draw and when river brought the flush possible he went allinn, by that time he prob would of took me for an overpair to the board though.i was left with 10,000 the next blind took that and i was out.i was very frustrated, whats your thoughts on the play here guys im still fairley new to poker [6 months] but i do seem to be running deeper and my results are improving would value your comments.. G,L..;)

In a like that tilt, the better thing believe I, who if I am leading chip, is to play only tryings premiun and this type of plays does if the player whom it will face of which way plays to continue betting or foldear if it is necessary

If he calls pot bet on flop then you should have most probably checked back the turn and evaluated on the river where decision making would have been easier.

If the turn goes check-check, then if he value bets river we consider calling and we fold to a heavy bet. Alternatively when he check raised us on the turn folding should have been considered. Wasn't going to be easy though. Good luck next time around.

Yeah I agree with suby, in micro MTT's a check raise on the turn is so incredibly strong. The chances of him bluffing in this spot is probably around 2-5% especially this late in the tournament and I don't think he is ever check raising a pair of q's for value either.

Also I don't have any reads on this guy so I maybe wrong but late in this tournament people generally play straight forward post-flop(In my experience anyway).

min raising is OK on the cut-off. I would probably go 2.5x but that is not a huge difference.

Betting the pot is fine by you. I would probably bet 65-70% of the pot, but that's just me.

His call of your pot sized flop bet is pretty bad, but once he does that I am now concerned about sets and I'm going to pot control and get to the river as cheaply as possible. yes, he could have a hand like AQ/KQ so I'm probably not going to fold...

So with the goal of pot controlling; I might check/call the turn. It's dangerous though; possibly giving a free card. His check/raise on the turn is incredibly strong...probably has 1 pair beat.
