Hello, one of my most favourite parts of MTTs and SnGs is stealing the blinds.
So I always hate it when there is a preflop limper (or multiple limpers) behind me when I am in late position. Can you steal with limpers behind you?

Yes, you can still steal when there are multiple players who limp. Table image goes along way here. If you are already an aggressive player it will be harder to get through.

What image does the first limper have ? Would they limp with AA / KK ? I suspect most limping behind are afraid of just that and are coming into the pot with hands that can crack AA / KK.

if you have less than 20bb you can shove somewhat wide pretty profitably.... if you have 30bb or so then do not take the spot too often but raise and play your hand like it is AA...

Yes you can always steal with pre-flop limpers but it depends on what image does the opponent have, and what image you have on the table.
Limpers will usually have a weaker hand so it is optimal to only steal with a very strong hand so that you don't get beat on the flop if they decide to call.
If you are playing very aggressively then your chances of stealing are lower since villain will put you on a weaker hand and try to re-raise you.
If you have a small stack then stealing is very effective to build your stack since the blinds will add up to a huge percent of increase in your stack.

Its a real tricky dynamic for me because often the guy that limps every other hand has a tendency to spew. Knowing that another limper may attempt iso by shoving over top of you and then what? A hand that was good against one often is not so good against two players.
But like stated image and dynamics play a lot into how you proceed.

If opponents are very loose, you should have a very strong hand for a steal. If you have a weak hand you must limp with more wider range.

I tend to not worry about it unless I think their tendency for a 3 bet is high

It all depends on the spots, and what the goal is. I steal a lot when there are limpers, I mean there are the chances they have a hand and 3 bet me, but for the most part, it works, because ultimately people limp to want to see a cheap pot and spike their hand

there are so many reasons you sdhouldnt try to steal a limped pot
mainly it adds more risk when ur looking at stack sizes, multiple limpers dont really have stack sizes to fold if they call ur raise + ur raise size would have to be slightly larger

however table image goes a long way, if they think your tight you can get away with it if they think you steal too much then you cant

Look at the stack of the limper and how far the tournament has gone. If you are close to the bubble, you could be successful. Your image is also very important. If you steal a lot, sooner or latter you are going to get caught.

Just nitpicking, but if you're in LP, those players are limping in before you, not after you.

As for your question, yes you can. If they're habitual limpers, punish them and pick up that dead money with a decent sized raise in position.

If its only one limper then you can. It may require something like a 4x raise pf and a 5.5bb bet on the flop. Keep in mind that some flops are really bad to cbet with a limper ex J98. You should only attempt this if you have a stack that can afford to lose 10bb. If you don't then you can always go all in.

Good luck
