Would you rather grind SnGs or MTTs?

When I am building a bankroll or don't have the time to sit there for hours on end I usually prefer SnGs or HU SnGs. I developed a lot of passion for MTTs after I won a couple and final tabled a few. Keep in mind, I am a beginner - intermediate player.

sit and goes are going to be more stable variance-wise at the same time you can have bigger wins and swings in bankroll with mtts

I like MTTs but SnGs are better when you have not enough time to play or when you dont want to be seated for hours

You do everything right! Glazoe find yourself in a certain discipline and disagree with CASH with a small bankroll !!!!

SnGs because they are less time consuming. Some MTT's take forever so I prefer to play those on the weekend, but SnGs you can play those daily.

I am more podush multi-table tournaments as it is more customary to them because of freerolls))) And in the backs is not getting 1 win 5 lose, as in roulette you play but you can quickly fill the bank or merge it))

I also think that is better to play sit and go tourneys as they are not so long in case you do not have enough time!

I don't like the idea one or the other. Mix it up.. SnG are easier to build you a bankroll for sure but if you hit a FT in a MTT you gonna cash hard. I personally play around 80% SNG and 20% MTT.

Prefer MTT's myself since it's more fun imo. However SnG's suit a small bankroll better since with a smaller field there should be less swings in cashes.

So when building up a bankroll I'd say stick to sit and go's with maybe the occasional MTT mixed in.

For a beginner i would recommend SNG "Double or Nothing", cause in those games you don't really need much poker skills to get cashed. You just need to be very tight and patient. If you are, many of those games you will win even if you are totally card dead, especially on a micro limits, where people are just too impatient and dropping out pretty quickly. Also look around for a good freerolls as well. And then when you built up your bankroll a little bit and gained some experience, you could have try cheap MTTs if you have time or standard SNGs if less time. But as a beginner, don't even look at cash games tab. It isn't exist for you.
I am agreed with akmost, why choosing one if can play both? I am personally also a SNG reg, but if i have time and see a good freeroll or if i smell for overlay at some affordable MTT, i gonna play it too. I know that MTTs can be pretty long-lasting and even boring after some time, but hey, they are giving still the best ROI of all kind poker tournaments if you get to FT.

I also like this opinion and I think this is very good strategy

I better duck SnG than MTT sit for 5-7 hours and only win $ 5 and sit & go's are faster , so in my opinion it is better to play sng:)

for a beginner I would say to stick with SnG I personally dove into MTT too quick and it's very deceptive of your skill level at the beginning stages. If you are losing consistently in SnGs you can identify problems and improve your game, but if you just play mtts and think you're getting bad runs you can run into a bad mindset of not improving and losing money
