Would you prefer a 3 player pay out structure at 6 seat sit n go?

I know that Titan/william hill have a couple of sit n go's where the structure is

roughly 3rd$20, 2nd$38 , 1st$60

I think if all sites did this we would all be rolling in green and the fish would be stuck in red.

Reason being, a winning player can play a strategy where only in extreme circumstances he would finish 4th, 5th 6th.
there for by playing for survival you could almost gaurantee 3rd place which means the shot at 1st place with no loss.

where as paying the top 2 in a 2 structure payout gives off a wider variance and inclines you into more action and risk spots.

This means two things, the grinders benifit
and on a bad site lke titan/william hill the fields are easily crushed.

I know we have 50/50's but I feel those are slightly different

Pacific (888) used to have five-seat tournaments where third got their money back. It was a huge moneymaker for me. I have no idea if they still have them, as I can't play there any more.

It pays to many people and this is going to make your edge smaller then it already is.

I don't like the idea of paying 3 of 6. It spreads the money out too much.

well the way it works out on william hill is a jackpot sit n go 50k if you come first 6 times and 2k if you can cash 6 times in the top 2

so finishing third or better will allow you to keep going and making a profit in the process ,

but yea without the jacpot sit n go the profit is smaller but as a whole if you run bad you will benifit from the 3 pay out

It would lower variance quite a bit. It reminds me of beginner sng's at bovada were top 4 pays in 9 man sng. It's really hard to lose money playing the beginner sng's.

Let me tell you that if the structure is changed, then the amount the 2nd and 1st would win will be significantly reduced, and that sitngo would not be worth to play. The top 2 price money is ok. if you want to reduce variance, play the full ring sitngo, or go to play cash

Paying 3/6 might work at micro stakes. Would help beginners learn from mistakes.

depends what u wont.3/6 is a good opportunity for easy, safe, players. If u play a longer time, the constant could increase your bankroll .. for me, personally, it is not a choice
