I know everyone has a strategy regarding freerolls. I wanted to see if any consistent winners could post their winnings estimated and strategies used.

Thanks in advance.:)

When i first started playing freerolls my strategy was to play as many as i could at one time, across multiple sites, this allowed me not to get upset when my KK got busted by A4o, when i was the preflop raiser. I'd have 4 to 8 running and have others popping up(pre registered). Out of the 10 or 15 id play id only make 0-2 deep, by playing multiples you don't get distrated by not catching anything, cause you will catch something playable on one of the tables- of course I was playing long ball, and was a great strategy to learn first. As results go depends on the amount of prizes- you can play freerolls with one prize and 5000 entries, or ive played in a freeroll that had 125 prizes with 137 entries, all same prize- i sat out and won.

Play tight and hopefully don't get sucked out and try to get in hands as cheap as possible. When you have a chip stack, try to be more aggressive near the bubble, but make sure you don't mess w/ a bigger stack than you. If you have a big enough stack to withstand the blinds, and you are near the money, it is better to fold (even premium hands) so that you don't risk getting sucked out. (I personally have folded aces once and queens twice) and it worked.

In beginning of freerolls there are two popular paths. Either play very tight and agressive, or play very loose, take risks, and try to dbl up early.

Later in a freeroll play usually slows down. This is when you can usually steal a lot of blinds. If called, make a c-bet and if that doesnt help tend to give up on the pot. If re-raised give up.
Normaly many freeroll players get intiminated when you push all-in at the later stages, when the blinds are high, so do that, just to show them you are fearless.

Now lets say you are playing freerolls with 7500 entries. Now if you can win once in a thousand tries then you are doing great. What that means is that even if you play spotless you wont win very often.
Even a great freeroll player could play 1000's of freerolls without winning one.
Bear that in mind, so you dont overrate your chances.

Play your strong starting hands with aggression. Your not going to go deep in every freeroll so dont feel to tilted when your good hands get beaten by donk calls.

Play tight, only play premium hands in the early stages. As you go deep get aggressive, try not to limp in and do not play out of position, try to avoid coin flips.

hard to find consistent winners in freerolls becuase there are just so many people in them but just dont let the word freeroll hurt ur style of play. most people just all in all in all the time in freerolls but if u can play a freeroll like u would a 20 buy in then u will end up cashing for sure

Yup, consistent winners and freerolls would seem to be mutually exclusive concepts.

However, if you disregard the public freerolls, with their gazillion entries, and look to private freerolls, then you would likely find that the same winners at private freerolls are doing pretty good in public real money tourneys.

Public freerolls....play tight till most of the field is gone.

Private freerolls, play 'your' game.

Make sure the noobs are gone tho before you challenge em. (<<< another mutually exclusive concept....;))
