I have participated in several freeroll tournaments but never won any.
Are freeroll tournaments really harder to win than other tournament types?
It is different but I'm not sure it's harder. People that have no investment in a game have nothing to loose so they will shove so so hands and they often catch. I think you need to be more cautious, even if I have AA or KK I know I have a good chance of loosing to someone that is being aggressive with 9 3 off. I have seen it happen many times in freerolls!!
Amen brother!!! Can't begin to tell you how many times I have seen that happen!!! I hate to see AA in my pocket. I have just folded AA quite a few times with only a couple times that it would win!!Isn't that the truth? When that 3 flops I already know a 3 or 9 will be on the turn or river......
They are different in one or two ways. The biggest difference I have seen is at the start. There is a lot of all ins, because those players are trying to build a good stack early so they can last longer. I sit back and let them have their fun.The thing is and I always have a laugh or two watching those new to the game players. I see it all the time, those players will keep playing that way, and it don't take long for them to lose their stack. GL to you
