Hey CC,

Going to get straight to the point here; I started playing poker 'properly' at the start of this year, I've played before that as fun once in a blue moon since about 13 ( used to deposit a ukash voucher with my poker money ) anyway, I started on party and broke even after a month, moved on to fulltilt after PP wiped my bankroll from my account after a error they made. After 4 months I broke even with SNGs and in April started playing MTTs, played 72 tournaments and cashed just under $1000. I thought this would last forever and partied with the little bankroll I built :hmmmm: . In May I tried to do the same again, but didn't have enough time to play enough tournaments, I was down about $200/$300 by end of may june. I started playing SNGs again and started winning back that money, took a break due to uni but now getting back into the swing of things. I started on $0.50 SNGs and now on $1 SNGs and will hopefully move up to $2.25 SNGs by the end of this month ( If things continue to go well ) really though, I want to play MTTs again but what if I blow a couple hundred dollar bankroll and I'm back to square one? Any advice from any more experienced players would be helpful here!

My advice is to segregate your poker bankroll; i.e. don't use any part of it for anything except poker. If/when you want to use some for something else, then remove it from your BR. But keep it simple and straightforward. If you take money out of your BR, you should not be thinking "I'll put some or all of it back if my roll gets low". You can re-evaluate if your situation changes significantly, but normally, your BR and your other money should be treated as completely separate.
