I made the ft in the 6.60 rebuy tournament with a 400gte on intertops poker they have i already cashed so their are 5 players left i was in the bb with 17000 in chips left when utg went all in for his last 8300 fold too cut off the button who is the commanding chip with 100,000 in chips took about all of his time too fold sb folds i think about this hand for a moment but i decide too call of coarse utg flips over aj and hits his j and my stack gets cut in half and im out the next hand when i have ak and the chi leader calls me with pocket 10-10s and his hand holds my question should i have called the all in the first time with 77s and when is it time too just fold and wait for a better spot.

77 is extremely strong with 5 players left. If you want to win you have to take chances. Also depends on ho the shover has been playing.

The latter is the major factor in my opinion..have you been around that player long enough to get an idea of what he does?

Open question

This really depends how much you want to place in a higher position. Fact is whilst 77 is a reasonable starting position it can also be easily beaten.

So how much do you want that top spot or rather are you happy walking away with your current winnings or will you wish you tried grinding it out for that bit longer.

If its worth the trip I would go for the grind!

Good luck at the tables!

Once you get to 5 players, you get lucky or don't. I'm pretty much playing position, trying to steal, and trying to stay away from the big stack. I would have shoved with 77 or AK (or the villian's AJ). At that point, it certainly wasn't a bad play. Some days you hit it, some days you don't. I've always felt the skill in poker is getting to the final table, from there its your day or it isn't.
