When I play poker (specially freerools) I play with fear because of the storms bingos sessions;so I try to win 2 or 3 bingos and then I keep folding untill the ITM.Sometimes I fold with strong hands because of the ITM.Do you have a special strategy to get the buble?

If you're playing a freeroll you really shouldn't have any fear of getting knocked out because you don't really lose anything from not cashing except time. My general strategy near the bubble is to steal the blinds aggressively if the players on the blinds are pretty tight or seem to be trying to limp into the money and also really put pressure on the short stacks that need to conserve their chips as much as possible. And especially play the good hands, yes you'll sometimes get knocked out by a really bad beat but for all the times you will win it'll outweigh the loses, so play those hands aggressively. Hope that helps, best of luck!

You shouldn't play scared, you have not put any money in the tournament, if you just wanna get some money you will never win a final table because you wont survive the late stages with that type of play.

Playing scared is bad!

I suggest learning basic strategy and using good play to do well.

On freerolls I like to try different strategies depending on my mood. That's a good way to practice.

Every single hand, every single part of a tournament should be played accordingly, takes years of practice to know how to get there time and time again successfully

I am not a machine, and in consequence I don't play according to an algorithm. Every tournament, every hand is different, and there is no way to tell in advance what I would do.

If you have a small stack, then I do not think that risking and stealing blades on a bubble is a good idea.
If your stack is medium and bigger - then it's worth trying

when it's going to give the bubble, I'm sure I'll go up, the range of mine opens a lot, because at this time I know that many will do this even as you said, this is a failure to be exploited in the adversary's game.

Its crazy to play in freerolls specifically because players essentially don't have ranges but your reasoning is as good as any other. Seems like a pretty general question. What are you looking for specifically?

I play tight early until all the donks have all in'd their chips away, and then play super tight in early position and loosen up as the button moves around- standard tournament play. I've been cashing regularly using this strategy.

In a freeroll, it's important to treat it like any other MTT for a number of reasons:
- You need to play your game, your ranges, your betting styles and patterns
- You need to identify the players at your table and know what ranges they are capable of playing
- You need to be mindful of the structure to know how many hands you have until your BB goes down

You shouldn't be afraid of the bingos in a freeroll - you'll see them in many micro tournaments. The only difference is the loss of time versus the loss of your buy-in plus time. But these are great opportunities to practice your table routine and recognize when you have a situation that suits you long term. Some freerolls you may start with a table of donks who plow all in every hand - so what? If you're in the BB with AA are you folding to two all-ins? I doubt it.

But if you know that these two are both LAG to MANAIC who have already shown down 73o and 86s by plowing all in...why would you be scared by showing up with AA??

All that the freeroll implies is that ranges are wider and betting patterns may be different. All variables in how you approach and apply poker knowledge to your tables. It really isn't different - embrace the craziness, note the information offered to you and use that later in other tournaments if you run into some of the same players. It may come in handy.

I just keep quiet, apparently I like the players who bet all the chips all the time I grow my chips. Sometimes I expect to have a number of high chips and only go when they give me the chance to see the pre-flop. My strategy works almost always, when I do not have the patience that goes wrong.

It depends on if you are big stack or small stack, if you are big stack you have to play aggressive and steal tight players, if you are small stack, you must wait for a good hand and try to double.

i think that it all depends on where im at in the tourny and how many chips i have. i want to generate a nice stack before the blinds get too high. but either way, im taking at least a few chances through out a tourny. lets me know if luck is on my side or not.

I always adjust my strategy to the situation. Playing in free rolls or low stakes games, I am very aggressive to get to the bubble. I try to take advantage of those playing too tight or opening too wide by 3-betting a wider range to late position opens.

When I player high stakes games, I'm still learning how to adjust. I've done ok in some tournaments but never got a win in these games. The players are better and will exploit your weaknesses, many of which I'm not aware of just yet. But I definitely play too tight to try and cash, but this is because I'm not comfortable playing in these games yet.

Too simple to work. :) If it were a real money maker, you wouldn't have shared it and you wouldn't have been here.

When playing freerolls, just stick to playing good hands at all times because people really don't care and are capable of stacking off with complete garbage hands, even late in the tournament.

Whether or not a free tournament you must to play it without fear, you have to take the best possible decisions. Even though, you might lose some tournaments in the long term you will be a winner.
You don't have to have money aberration because otherwise you will always play fearful.
